  wt cut and pastes scriptures and reorganizes them in an attempt to shore up unscriptural and antichrist wt doctrines

  the whole 2 thess 3 "mark and avoid" thing means to mark and avoid people like the gb and the wt hierarchy leaders

  it says able-bodied ones who want to be like benefactors and meddle around telling people what to do

  not working secularly but living off "voluntary donations"

  those are the dudes who are supposed to be avoided

  the congregation is told to not let such ones teach the congregation

  so by 2 thess chapter 3 all those taking the "special vow of poverty" for "special full time servants" should be avoided

  they should be shamed so they turn around, according to those verses

  they shouldn't be put on the platform

  they shouldn't be clapped for

  they shouldn't be given any money/housing/etc by congregations

  So it's more decoding of the secret code. Elders don't mark people any more (probably because doing that leaves a trail leading to Bethel, is against various privacy laws and could lead to lawsuits).

  WT is at its heart a lover of control and is not going to relax that control in any meaningful manner. So the new "arrangement" is to have the R&F do the marking. How exactly do they decide to do that? Is there a congregational meeting where the congregation meets to discuss the matter as set out in Matthew 18?

  I'm hazarding a guess that the answer is no. That the elders still decide on marking and somehow communicate their will in a way that doesn't leave a paper trail that is usable in court.

  Try to pretend that marking happens spontaneously at the congregation level and has nothing to do with the GB, or their servants, the elders. 🙄😑

  wt just keeps whitewashing the outside of the cup

  the inside is full of every kind of nastiness

  the "judicial" committees were never about "justice" anyway

  more like injustice

  the whole wt hierarchy arrangement should be illegal

  since it runs interference with the governments

  (telling people to report to bethel before the secular authorities, telling them not to cooperate, etc)

  well, this article is a bunch of 💩💩💩

  

  2 thessalonians 3 is all about marking and avoiding people able-bodied dudes who take "special vows of poverty" and live off donations instead of working secularly to support their own ministry

  the circuit overseers and the bethelites and the governing body are the ones to be marked and avoided

  in the greek it says

  

  the time was around the time of the sabbath

  so people weren't hanging out by graves

  the women waited until the sabbath was over to attempt to add spices to the body of christ

  but the army officer saw what happened

  that's why he and the guys with him were afraid

  it was fear of god

  they realized this event was a miracle

  just like when peter had fear of god (a good kind of fear - more like amazement) when the big catch of fish thing happened

  the army officer said "truly this was god's son"

  not just because of an earthquake or sun going dark

  but because of the people who were raised from the dead

  in john's gospel he said there were lots of things that never got written down

  Nowhere in the Biblical text, and nowhere in the Fathers do we read of a resurrection of these "saints" being "flesh and blood" and that these were seen as you state.
  

  they weren't "saints" as in "anointed" but they were holy ones, faithful jews

  Various account in the Fathers, on the basis of these verses, I repeat, the Church Fathers themselves who you owe the very preservation and canonization of the New Testament to, claim that these 'appearences' were likely "apparitions" if they did occur at all.

  to me they're just another version of the gb

  they made a bunch of stuff up and it wasn't in harmony with the ancient jewish writings

  anyway, many jews wrote about the flesh-and-blood resurrections of old performed by elijah and elisha

  so when god resurrected some dead people back to human life at jesus' death

  it wasn't like it had never happened before

  when elisha was asleep in death god did a resurrection in association with elisha's remains

  jesus had healed people from a distance before

  so god choosing to resurrect a bunch of dead faithful jews in association with the death of jesus for a sign
