even in a religious culture that advocates the murder of victims as honorable, fathers and brothers are typically the perpetrators of horrific violence against female family members whose only crime was to be the victim of another, the killing of a child by its mother stands out as particularly unnatural and depraved.such a heinous act occurred recently in sohag, egypt when a mother of a two-year-old child took the life of her child rather than protect it from violent sexual assault by its own grandfather.. a muslim mother identified only as “merfat” was awakened by screams in the middle of the night and found her father, faraj, in the act of raping her daughter.. .

rather than acting out of a natural, protective instinct, the 23-year-old mother chose to shield her father from scandal as taught by muslim theology and sharia law.. merfat told authorities that she took her daughter, little grace ahmed, from the grandfather, placed her in a tub and held her head under water until the child drown.. alik akhmim, chief detective of the police in sohag told egyptian reporters that “traces of blood” had been found in the little girl’s anus, evidencing the degree of force and injury the child endured at the hands of her mother’s father.. this kind of act is referred to as an “honor killing” thought to place the reputation of the family above that of any individual member, and which is used to punish the victim rather than hold the perpetrator accountable.. murdering rape victims is common in countries and communities that adhere to sharia law where the crime is rarely reported for fear of exposing the family to shame.. “honor killing” is no longer limited to predominantly muslim countries or the middle east.

Were you trying to show how Islam isn't the only religion to have problems with its adherents? I think we all would agree that all religions (and non-religious organisations) can harbour those that take advantage of its teachings. However this equivalence you are pushing falls short in explaining just why it is far and away more widespread within the Islamic community than anywhere else. We even see evidence that it is not just confined to the poor and under-educated.

Your list goes back over many years. Would you like to discuss the events over the last month to get some perspective here?

From my perspective that picture you posted of the strata being dated in such a way demonstrates you haven't got the first idea about how geologists date the rocks they research. Put simply, there are 2 types of dating used: relative and absolute. The first, as the name suggests, dates the rocks relative to the surrounding rocks they are found in (older or younger). The second uses various radiometric methods to establish the actual age of the rock in question. You can use one or the other or both.

Neither method I explained above is in any way reliant on the other method, as your picture erroneously suggests. However creationist websites and books continuously publish that drivel and people, such as you, continue to lap it all up.

If you wished you could learn about these methods and how they work. You could come to understand the restrictions each of the available methods have and why these restrictions exist. You could learn how geologists and related scientists apply these methods and the processes they follow to avoid mistakes.

Or you can continue to read these creationist websites in much the same manner that JW's are encouraged to read their literature in the firm knowledge that you are right and the entire scientific community is missing something obvious/is too stupid to realise they are being misled/is happy to be part of a big conspiracy to mislead the entire world (delete as you see fit).
