*** g94 11/8 20 have i committed the unforgivable sin?
masturbation is an unclean habit.
(2 corinthians 7:1) however, the bible does not class it with serious sins such as fornication.

waisting your time with all of these post.
when in the end we must choose what we want most.
will it be life eternal or asleep in a cold hell.
Jim,
Congratulations you have again produced poetry that is so awful, it transcends any bad reflections on your writing and begs the question, what the hell are you getting at. Having attained this rarified plane however, the question arises why do YOU bother posting here?

One tip: use more three letter words if possible.

serious questions for every serious believer in jehovah (or god).. .
i hope they will be helpful to jehovah's witnesses on this board, as well as to all who believe in god.
i think i have phrased the questions fairly, without emotionalism, and have not distorted the meaning of the bible stories (comments?)..
Is it right that no Jehovah's Witness can tackle even one of these questions?

had enough asked :.
if you haven't already related to us the experiences at bethel that you told to your mom-in-law, (or even if you already have told us) could you tell us about what you told her.....and...what is "g-jobbing" (sorry for my naivity) .
i didn't want to take away from sl post about his mother but i thought a little insight into the world of the bethelites would be interesting this am.
LOVE IT. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I admire the ingenuity of the so called Bethel drones. And I had no idea about it either.

1 If you felt sure God's will for you was to sacrifice your life, in the manner Jesus did, would you do it?
2 If you felt sure God would perform some great act for you, would you pay God the sacrifice of your child's life, as Jephthah did? (Judges 11:30,31)
3 If you felt sure God wished it, would you sacrifice your child to him as Abraham was intending to do? (Genesis 22:2,10)
If you believe in the Christian God, as Jehovah's Witnesses claim to, you will probably view Him as the primary morality. In other words, what He wants IS right because He wants it. So for you, issues like humanity (as in the 'right' to life of your child) would be at least secondary. Obviously, this is how JWs, when it comes down to life and death, approach their 'no-blood' issue.
In the questions, I emphasised the aspect of being sure, because no decent person wants to sacrifice their child, and the pull of humanity is such, that those who go through with it need to feel sure they are doing God's will. Abraham and Jephthah appear to have had quite clear communication with God making the issue 'easier' for them. But what if you had no such communication? Could you still do the 'right' thing? Please consider the next questions.
1a If you felt sure there was an organisation that knew God's will, and through it you felt sure that it required you to sacrifice your life, in the manner Jesus did, would you do it?
2a If you felt sure there was an organisation that knew God's will, and through it you felt sure that it required you to sacrifice you’re your child ,like Jephthah did, in exchange for some great act, would you do it? (Judges 11:30,31)
3a If you felt sure there was an organisation that knew God's will, and through it you felt sure God wished you to sacrifice your child to Him as Abraham was intending to do, would you do it? (Genesis 22:2,10)
If you think asking questions is easy, all I can say is 'not always'. I wonder how many answers I will get.

unless you are one of those sissies who thinks your wife, your kids, your employees are unique and irreplaceable people.
YOu're right 6, he said nothing about the loss of those chattels. Even in those straits, he didn't let such human emotion cloud "the universal issue".

anyone who's informed about the honorable joseph franklin rutherford knew what a jerk he was in life, but the creator in his infinite humor also wanted his death to remind us that whenever we fondly think of da judge, one word will always come to our mind: that word is "asshole.".

Alanf,
:I guess both are true
Yup, like the way Judas died. The WT says he both hanged himself and fell off a cliff (to be burst asunder): another gospel harmonisation.

2025: how will the org adapt?.
most wt doctrines will be so diluted as to be nonexistent except for the borg rules.
nobody can remember what prestudy was, the mags are never read, just gravely passed around at memorial time, with the anointed opening a page (but not reading).
Fred
:I wander will it be hard to adapt when there is no apostates around?
Ah poor Freddie's gonna miss me. Hugs to you.
You're right though, I'm gonna die, I'm gonna rot most likely, end of story. But it's got nuffink to do with WTJehovah raining down blue murder.
See ya in hell Freds!

i've highlighted section 12 - i think it has implications for any jw's who wish to leave the society on a matter of conscience or principle.. what do the rest of you think?.
nic'.
universal declaration of human rights.
Hi Nik
Article 1.
All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood
Well, original sin scotches that article.
Article 6.
Everyone has the right to recognition everywhere as a person before the law
Shunning
Article 12.
No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to attacks upon his honour and reputation. Everyone has the right to the protection of the law against such interference or attacks.
Harrassment of JW dissenters.
Article 16.
(3) The family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and is entitled to protection by society and the State.
Society and the state should make the Org stop enforcing shunning as this breaks up families.
Article 19.
Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.
"Without interference" this should include not shunning dissenters
Article 23.
(4) Everyone has the right to form and to join trade unions for the protection of his interests.
Could this be broadened to pressure groups within religions, dissenters?
Article 26.
(1) Everyone has the right to education. Education shall be free, at least in the elementary and fundamental stages. Elementary education shall be compulsory. Technical and professional education shall be made generally available and higher education shall be equally accessible to all on the basis of merit.
In general I wonder how much of this, though applicable in pribciple, can be applied in practise. Any lawyers!?!

Secret information gathering will continue apace. CO visits will be streamlined by having CCTV at the hall, group, and elder's meetings, all monitired for performance and censorship at 'Bethel'. But bethel is not a place anymore, but a consecrated computer network, which even Elders know little about.
Smiles will replace convictions across the org. 'Putting smiles on seats' is the motif, and the key to advancement. Network evangelism wii replace door-door. An interesting dualism has occurred with dress and 'conduct'.
Formal wear becomes stricter, while infomal wear goes mad with outlandish grabs at individualism. Youths party like it’s the end of the world, with more antisocial behaviour than any other religion, drug taking becomes a matter of conscience to prevent the outflux of young blood from the Org.
The Watchtower directors will become so covert and nameless to avoid court actions that they run the whole operation from a retired ICBM sub in international waters, but this is only a rumour.
The only way to progress beyond congregation elder status will be to get noticed by the network, which informs the elders the candidate has been disfellowshipped. After a few months shunning to test faith he or she either disappears from their former life or works covertly on the network.
New legislation for charities pressures the congregations to allow women elder status. But women who are noticed for promotion are disfellowshipped as normal, but never promoted.
The present brief flirtation with a policy of 'training for good pioneer jobs' gets reversed as too many educated dubs turned apostate. Most new converts come from the disaffected of society, uneducated or uneducable, itinerant protesters, and criminals.
Meetings will be coordinated by the network as now, except elders will be relieved of talking from outlines, to be readers of scripts, transmitted on the network 5 minutes before hand. Social software is used build up the scripts to manage congregations needs locally. It therefore becomes a disfellowshipping offense to attend the wrong kingdom hall.
The only duty of elders will be moral policing. Mainly this involves monitoring food outlets, making sure publishers are only eating Wt approved nutrition. The no-blood policy disappeared by 2008, three years after medical uses of blood had themselves ceased. So dubs recovered their religious distinctiveness from a wave of stringent Wt food policies, chiefly against GM products. There are many grey areas as GM has permeated the food chain, in fact the whole policy is a sham. All that happens is that unpopular or 'unproductive publishers' attract attention from the elder police, who disfellowship them for eating the same food as every other publisher. Of course no dub can openly say this, or they would be admitting their own sin.
Retrospectively, it will be revealed that Armageddon took place in 1975 as predicted, the org now pins all the hopes of its members on the resurrection of dead loved ones - coming real soon!
