Winston,
I like your imagination.
One brother was so happy he broke down and cried.
That is perfect! There's always one in Propagandia who does this.

from the july 1, 2003 watchtower article "righteous requirements":.
.. the kingdom of god is the highest government anyone can serve.
how does jehovah issue the call to his people?
That's the first WT article I read that I just didn't want to end; so reasonable, so scriptural. Hasn't everyone heard some WT lunatic saying something like 'give me the word, just one word, and I'd kill those apostate with my own hands'. I have heard it more than once.
Thanks Alan
Nice appraisal Susan.

when i was separating from my wife and leaving the jws, i had some visions.
for some strange reason, i decided not to eat for a day, then when i found my thinking clearer and my emotions mellower, i fasted for another two days.
so after the third day, i was walking down our street and i saw the houses burning after me, i felt this was an affirmation that marriage was decay and destruction, or wasteage.
BBoy,
Thanks for that post, amazing! I have saved it.

Ladonna,
I am glad you noticed the inconsistencies, but are they put there for effect, or just a blunder? We ask the same about the WTBTS blood policy's.

The thinness is both the virtue and the failing of the condom, like the no-blood policy, which has been/is being stretched so thin that it will allow everything through.
Did you have a heavy night last night?

Has anybody else seen this?…
Utilising the very latest technology, this condom is so thin it suffers from no loss of sensitivity AND even allows sperm to pass through its homeopathic, sub-micronial membrane, it is so thin, indeed, that even under an electron microscope it is invisible. The WTBTS has become sole distributor to the world of this far-sighted product. Hence the AWAKE! issue of 8th Sept 01 has been boosted to 30 million copies, in part, to cater for keenly-anticipated Catholic interest in our door-to-door ministry.
The eminent Doctor Justin Quotes, (University of Gentleknox, Utah) research leader for this product writes in the BigO press release,
"this development leads the way in compassionate scientific research which works…it stands up head and shoulders above simple profit-based advancement as it addresses the spiritual needs as well as sexual. It's been a slow and incremental path to bring this to fruition.
The faithful and discreet slave has itself labored at the frontier of medicine incrementally enhancing it's life-giving no-blood stance to the point where, like this new homeopathic contraception method, it's effectiveness is as firmly established as our bible-based faith and individual Christian conscience. May Jehovah continue to bless us as we prepare for dramatic increases in the near future, truly everyone can play a part!

the organization cannot be reformed from outside; that can only come from individuals who have the guts and will to do so inside, and the determination to get rid of hardline thinking that is so strangling.
my personal desire is to see immediate change regarding the child abuse policy, and that will come.
to see a clear, quick change in the horribly inconsistent blood policy rather than drag it out over years; kids are dying in the process.enforced shunning is also an evil that they will have to deal with eventually; it's ripping them apart.. .
Deacon, I'm glad you are posting here. Excuse the platitude, but hopefully you'll fix your rudder with your own ingenuity and a little help from others. But imo there's little room for discipleship on this board, but plenty for individual growth.
I see no mileage in ascribing any prophetic significance, positive or negative, to the WTBTS, unless one wants to bash present-day believers or 'this wicked world' with it.
(Btw, are you the person who was kind to one of my poems a few months back, I'm just striving after the wind, of course!)

this was posted by jang at another forum, she had not seen it before either.. has this been questioned, talked about, etc?
i've not heard anything on it...... but then that's sometimes the case with me..

Waiting,
As I see it, all WT approved references to blood transfusions as organ transplants can mean one or more of three things:
1. they are keeping their options open so that BT can become a 'matter of conscience' if/when 'the need is great.'
2. there is interdepartmental manoevering and conflict about BT
3. or, they are muddling along as normal, to give the appearance to uncritical JWs, or those with reservations, that serious thinking is being done on the issue.
Addition: I've just read all the above quality material, and feel a bit daft for having chipped in. But it's too late, so I'll just highlight Maximus' point as number...
4.
I've stated it elsewhere and I will state it again here: It is extremely important for the Legal Department to have conflicting stuff in the publications. Organ transplant, not a transplant. Take this, not that. Individual vs. weak conscience vs. whatever. The fuzzier the better, because if a church parishioner is confused about church policy, that means the policy is individualistic and not communal. That mitigates, protects against liability! And what it's all about today, is preservation of the organization.

did you ever wonder about starting up in your own business?.
i spent years and years in sales management until one day i realised that i was still acting like a dub, my reps were my congregation, i was the presiding minister.
time to quit!.
Also, my brother knows some of the UK travelling folk, most of whom he says are loaded. They have virtually no education, many are illiterate. On the other hand, they all call themselves John Smith when the authorities are nearby, and give the IR a wide berth! But they drive Merks, that's the moral.
