  Who Was The Weirdest Person In Your Congregation?

  i guess this is kind of a fun topic.

  who was the weirdest person in your congregation or kingdom hall?

  without naming names, who was the person that was the most creepy, eccentric, or "out in left field"?

  Most of the jw's were a bit wierd. For one thing they wired a part of the k-dumb hall in the attic with zip cord #16 a complete violation of wiring codes.
  

  
  
  There was one guy who really was mentally challenged. The best job he could get was sweeping out the empty rail road cars.
  

  
  
  They wanted me to keep track of the temperature control. I did but it wasn't my main effort, so once in a while it wouldn't suit all the members.
  

  
  
  For reasons unknown this guy was given the title of ELDER.
  

  
  
  He comes over to me and says," you know if you don't want to do this, we can get someone who will".
  

  
  
  In a very authoritative manner. I said "why don't you just do that".
  

  
  
  I suggested that he do the this high tech job. He had no answer, just stood there confused and finally sat down.

  Men, women and toilet seat etiquette

  i've never quite understood the big deal about men leaving the toilet seat up but since i hear so much about it i try to comply.

  i do have a pet peeve.

  sometimes when i lift the seat there are obvious signs on the underside that a female has used it and not bothered to 'tidy up'.

  I promised my wife that I would always leave the seat down for her IF

  She would always leave it up for me!

  How do you deal with telemarketers?

  I get calls quite often from some group that claim to be local police or sheriffs departments that are asking for donations for bicycles or some thing for needy children.

  I tell them that I don't like the local police dept. or the sheriffs dept. Then ask me why and I say well they aren't doing their job. If they were you make believe telemarketers would all be in jail.

  Then they vigorously try to convince me they really are what they claim. As I hang up.

  I have asked the local cops if they are in any way a part of this and they tell me no.

  Diagnosis - Skin Cancer......

  i had a lesion removed from my right cheek, just below the eye and to the right of my nose a week ago yesterday.

  doc did it in the office and indicated he did not think it was malignant - but sop requires a path test to confirm.

  it was malignant i was told today.

  Hi AK Jeff.

  Do you have fair skin? I do since I am Norwegian from my fathers family. I have had several skin cancers removed over the years. The thing to do is get a check up at least once a year, twice a year is even better.

  This way they can freeze the spot when it is pre cancerous and even if it is cancer but caught early, it is no big deal.

  As one gets older the sun's rays from years ago are now showing their results in skin cancer.

  Use a brimned hat and long sleeves and some sun screen to protect your self.

  Even though I hate wearing the hat and the long sleeves and the screen I do it anyway.

  It is no big deal if you catch it early. If you do not, it can be one hell of a big deal !

  That is when they start cutting you. If you put it off because you don't want to be cut, then the big deal becomes a full blown terminal cancer.

  See your dermatologist at least every six months. OK?

  Not too far outside the little town in which I live, there is a piece of land that has been a source of lots of american indian studies. A lot of pieces of pottery and arrow heads etc. was dug up.

  The final decisions were that this place was in use about 10000 years ago quite often by the indians.

  There is a sign at this site with the information about the indian occupation in this area. There are other sites in Idaho and Oregon where they go way farther back in time.

  So I must agree that the ten thousand date is very wrong.

  City Confidental episode

  did anyone see the city confidential episode where a dub woman from (i think) boise, idaho was killed by her russian born ballet star husband?.

  i seems pretty clear the he killed her, but he is now saying that she was killed by the watchtower, bible and tract society, because she married him - an unbeliever.. does any one have any personal knowledge about this case?

  The lady you are speaking of attended the same KH in Nampa Idaho that I did. She had a young girl that was a sweet thing and she also died a few years later.

  The lady you mention was a kind and sweet person who had lost her husband for reasons I do not know but the elders were on her all the time. She wanted to have a small get together for the females only and the elders put a stop to it.

  The jw crazy laws may have been the reason she never remarried in the religion and then left the jw's.

  I could tell that she was longing for a full life and was frustrated and upset a lot. My now ex wife and my older girls were about the only people that she had as friends.

  I have always felt that her harsh treatment by the elders and one especially idiotic one has at least some cause in this ladies life that caused her to marry this man.

  Yes he did kill her there was a lot of evidence. I don't think he has a chance of getting out.

  Although I will say that that one controlling harsh over the edge elder, I think he would kill if the wbts told him to. He was an awful hateful person. His wife and one daughter joined the Nazarene religion just to piss him off. None of his boys would have anything to do with him. We called him Sarg.

  Yesterday I went to a local cafe for lunch. I go there often. There is a jw that also goes to this cafe. A while ago when I was in the post office and he glanced at me but will not speak.

  This time I said Hi How ya doing. He stamered and stumbled and finally said Hi.

  From that time on he will not look at me or respond if I say hello.

  Yesterday In the cafe he was sitting at a table and as I walked past I started to laugh and look at him.

  The confusion and what ever went through his mind, flashed across his face which caused me to chuckle a little louder.

  He has a strong case of cognitive dissonance If I have ever seen one.

  I wonder if he will change cafe's? Ah I can find him.

  Well Blinder.

  If God is all power all knowing and capeable of anything and everything, Why would he go to all that trouble and cause so many humans so much death and disturbing other humans with no guilt in the actions of the Egypt King.

  All he had to do is snap his finger and correct the Egypt king and his soldiers and lead the jews to another place.

  But no we blame God for causing all the deaths and destruction caused by these tsumamis, the earth quakes, The complete destruction of the people around the Santarini volcano. Thousands maybe millions of people died in this.

  You are blaming all that death on God? What kind of God do you have?
