Of course pmj. Having been in law enforcement I went to the police. Doing this upset the elders, that was one of the things they held against me. Unfortunatly the statute of limitations had expired. However the police took all the information in case another person complained with in the limitations.

There were several sisters that complained about this elder and the wbts legal desk said to drop it.

About 3 yrs ago after a 11 year lapse the elders own daughter brought up this issue to the elders and he was finally df'd. How many did he abuse? Well there are complaints from both Idaho and Calif.

When my daughter found this lack of action by the wbts she became very angry and when I brought that to the elders I was told " well it is up to you "that is me" to help my daughter to accept this.

How foolish and uncaring and arrogant. Now do you understand my fits of rage??

I considered killing the bastard. I was trained and thought I knew how. I also knew what prison was like so I changed my mind.

This is one and only one of my experiences that cause me to see your posts as foolishness.

I am not kidding when I tell you "that the time will come when they hurt you so badly" that you will recall this forum and the advice you had here

Well pmj I won't go into the jw beliefs, other than to tell you that they damned near did kill me.

They destroyed my marriage and df'd me for fits of rage. You see I was angry with the elders and the wbts for doing nothing about my daughters molestation by her uncle the elder.

Angry enough to tell the elders that they needed the shit kicked out of them. My now ex wife followed the elders recommendation to get a divorce.

I thought of suicide but got a psychiatrist to straighten me out. My ex wife the true jw is now living alone sick and unable to work, none of her once jw friends are any help.

I am remarried and have a good life and wife, even though she is ill. I offered to help my ex wife and like a true jw she will have nothing to do with me the df'd one.

Stay in the jw cult and eventually you will pay the bill and the hurt and confusion and sadness may make you think things through.

I truly do feel sorry for you.

I'm glad you read the news paper article about "loosers" when you read it, did you see yourself there??

You know being a jw is a truly "loosers life" They want you to put on a new personality. They don't tell you that you loose your identity as a man and a person.

Your new personality is one of a follower, unable and forbidden to think or search for religious history from anything other than the wbts publications. Including the bible.

pmj your title deserves some attention.

What is the big deal anyway?

There is no big deal. The wbts and its deluded followers are a very small ineffective part of the religious world.

Being or not being a member is nothing of consequence. The only thing that is noticed by what you call "worldly people" is that jw's are odd, disturb people on saturday morning, don't accept blood transfusions and have no social abilities.

All this is only a big deal to YOU and a few of us who would like to help you out of a dangerous to you, and your family, cult.

Stop challenging every one and analyze and think through what we are telling you. It is to your well being that we take the time to talk with you.

You are RIGHT pmj. The bible does say gather your selves together. No where in the bible does it say we must join and become a member of an organization.

No where does it say we must acknowledge that we are now a member of an organization as the wbts requires.

No where does the bible say that there is one and only one of the groups that gather together are the only true organization.

in part this thread is an apology to dansk.. by way of an explanation; about a year ago i posted to someone that they should show little compuncture about lying to a body of elders, since the wts would only apply theocratic warfare to them, and do the same.

dansk (rightly in my opinion) reprimanded me about it, though i uncomfortably defended my position at the time.. well, i was raised better than that.

"two wrongs don't make a right", and lying was never on the agenda in our household.

I think that being honest at all times or lying or not answering is based on the possible consequences.

If telling the truth would bring me certain death "that I did not deserve" I would lie. Then live to correct or pay the bill for lying.

Truth or silence with the proper eye contact usually does the job.

The problem with lying is that it can become a habit. But there are lots of small insignificant situations that feed the habit.

after reading the tragedy of puternut, i was thinking that perhaps it's time that the government took another look at what can happen when they allow religions like the jws, to cut off family members without a second thought.

surely someone's rights to have normal religions with their family should come before freedom of religion.

isn't it ironic that the gb fought so hard in court to obtain freedom of religion, yet their own members commit suicide when they try to express this very right.

It was dated 1992 I think it said. I wonder if Canada would give this another look based on the later more detailed knowledge.
