How do you make friends once leaving the Borg?
by unhappy inso i'm starting the fading out now, and i'm avoiding all kh 'friends,' but am finding it a bit lonely, as was raised in org, and was always taught to shun worldly people even at school.
does anyone have any advice or experiences about how to overcome this?
how they met and made new friends in the beginning?

When you tell "worldly" people about life as a dub...
by wanderlustguy indo they get angry?
gets furious to the point i haven't even told her 10% of my past as a dub.. do you find it strangely amusing tha they get angry, and laugh or chuckle for some reason?
i do, and i think it's because i find it so ridiculous now and to see someone get flustered over it kind of reaffirms my feelings.. does it make your relationship difficult?

This was always a difficult thing when I was in the Org. and even more difficult after I left in dealing with people.
I just had to push myself to do things I would never even think of doing before.
It is a bit scary to venture into new and unused actions.
Here is what I did TODAY. I went to a restaurant in a small town that I like. I know the owner and some of the others who work there.
I openly asked the waitress " I know a very handsome man that would like to meet a nice lady in my age bracket. That is me of course. Do you know of any? Her answer was yes. She lost her husband a few years ago.
Yes, one of our school teachers. She is awsome! Ask her daughter ( she works in the tavern part of the restaurant).
I asked this daughter ( a quite pretty girl ) .
She said I don't know if she is ready to consider this, ( I will ask her ).
It was that easy and also that difficult.
Something I never could have done when in the Borg.
As time goes on it gets easier. What would be their reply?? Either nothing or no she is not ready or even YES she would like that.
What do I have to do? Well we will see.

"Publisher Cards"..

i've been wondering for a while, you know those "publisher record cards" that the jw's hold which detail each "publisher", well i remember reading that they are not for the person to view, they are strictly for the elders use..if that's the case, (that bugged me even when when i was a jw) would that not be a breach of the privacy act ??

I was born into the jw cult in 1935.
I left (got df'd in 1991)
In all that time in Calif. Oregon Idaho and wyoming I never once saw my publishers card or any thing else about me, being brought to me to see.
Even during that short time that I was an Elder.

They put in some time trying to get my daughter to step up and a quite a few others. But it was a bit in the past and no one wanted to relive the sick actions of my brother in law.

I would want to be GOD.
I would tell Adam and Eve that leaves are a conscience matter and they may or may not want clothes.
That I didn't give a rats ass what fruit they ate and if they ever saw a talking snake, to let me know.
I would tell satan to clean up his act and I would give him a piece of the action.
Once every 5 years I would stop by to see if all is well.
If they had a bad accident to not take blood. Just ring me up and I will wave that damned wan and all is well.

Hambeaks Extremely Heartbreaking News
by Sparkplug inour friend hambeak just got the most dreaded phone call from his jw child.
the news was passed on as he was asked for by name and not as"dad" and let known that "they" just called to let him know that his other son, brian, age 26, is dead.
he was in a car accident.

Where to start?

well, it took very little time to discover it was a bunch of crap.
i have learned about the lies and inconsistant teachings and what not.

I was outside a few weeks ago and I leaned against a pretty tree in the back yard.
I started to walk away and found that that tree put a lot of pitch on my shirt. Made me angry and I kicked the tree. That tree dropped a pine cone on my head!
Then it got cold and the wind blew and now I got a ton of leaves on the lawn. This is a very different tree. You see it has pine cones and leaves also that fall off in winter.

Actually JT has something there I think. I just haven't been able to find it. Although I do get a lot of pleasure from nature. Maybe I have found it and don't recognize it.
