  I desperately need a WT bible!

  hey,.

  i am not currently a jw but i really want to do some private study of your bible.... i live in a remote area of yorkshire and there are no kingdom halls about.

  are there any websites (that deliver to the uk) where i can order a wt bible in the hope of becoming a jw in the future?.

  The 144,000 'chosen ones' a random number?

  hey,.

  first, i'm not a witness so bare with me because i just need some answers.. i recently bought a book called 'the worlds greatest cults' by nigel cawthorne (an excellent read) an article on jw's was featured in it giving some basic facts-who founded it etc.. it stated that the 144,000 people were going to go to heaven-this number was selected as the gentleman who founded the religion never thought it would grow larger than that-nothing to do with anything mentioned in the bible.

  when the number of members began to reach this number, the founder said that all other members would stay on earth.

  i'm going to a district assembly fri, sat and sun in leeds, uk in hope to understand some of this stuff-my girlfriend is a jw but i am not.. i don't get this 144,000 people thingy-why would only some people get to go to heaven and some stay on earth?

  how are these people selected?.

  walk on the left my brother as people walk on the right that come in the opposite direction-you will get knocked down my brother!!!.

  which is more important-religion or family?.

  which would you choose if you had to?

  if a family member was going to be killed if you carried on 'participating' in the religion-what would you do?.

  Answers about Witnessess & Non-Witnessess

  i, myself are not a witness, i am 18, male and live in england.. six months ago i met a 17 year old jehovah's witness, became very attached to her and grew to love her.

  her mother does not approve of the relationship at all and has resorted to threats to throw her out, grounding her, ignoring her, contacting elders, unless she discontinues seeing me.

  first question: if her not seeing me makes her very unhappy and her seeing me makes her very happy-why is it wrong that we stay together?
