  I haven't read all the posts on this thread, but think they have absolutely no other option but to change things big time. The charity commission here in the UK are looking into the organisations policies on safeguarding and shunning. They will be scrutinizing everything. The possibility of losing their charity status would hit them very hard financially. And we all know how much money matters to the organisation. Couple this with the Australian Royal commissions inquiries and you have some serious storm clouds ahead.

  When it comes to damage control, the hawks at watchtower headquarters MUST be working very hard behind the scenes.

  Do Jehovah's Witnesses view the governing body differently since seeing them on the TV?

  i think this may be a bigger issue for the society than we realise.. when you consider that witnesses have now had well over a year of regularly seeing their 'channel to god' with their own eyes, what do you think they're thinking?.

  i'm going to put this as respectfully as i can; these men are clearly a bunch of utter clowns who are laughably inadequate to present a tv show, but also, they are now ridiculously discredited due to the absolute shite that they've spoken in these laughable productions.. consider things from a jw's perspective; tony morris, stephen lett & geoffrey jackson are 'the channel' that makes their religion 'special'.

  these men are the channel god is using to lead his people in the modern day.

  I remember attending a zone visit several years ago and Steven Lett was beamed to us from London and rambled on about this and that. One of the things I remembered him for which left me thinking eh! was when he said it brought him joy when our young ones stay faithful. He then relates a story how a young primary school girl stood her ground and refused to attend her friends birthday after being given an invite, and stood up for JEHOVAHHH!. Throw in Letts rubber face and there you have it. I felt like saying ah come on!!!

  there continues to be more and more rumors of more halls being sold off some even taking the first offer.

  the borg trying to get thier bond money back from the court in san diego asap and there's been elders meetings about this consolidation.

  my questions is why after selling off all this real estate in new york for over a billion dollars are they still acting like thier broke?

  there are lots of interesting topics on here that appeal to me.. i have been a witness for almost 3 decades and am very disillusioned with the organisation at this time.

  i am beginning to see it in a new light as i am getting older.

  Welcome! May I ask whether you have family or spouse still in? Do you still go to meetings?

  Answer- My wife and child regulary attend the meetings. We also have a lot of relatives who are witnesses.

  I decided to join this forum as have been lurking awhile. There are lots of interesting topics on here that appeal to me.

  I have been a witness for almost 3 decades and am very disillusioned with the organisation at this time. I am beginning to see it in a new light as I am getting older. Nothing seems to surprise me anymore, having read much of the societies scandalous past. I feel that we are chained to an organisation that doesn't allow people to freely come and go, and in which we are are forced through fear to comply with all the crazy rules of this religion.

  Anyway, Hello once again. I am look forward to getting involved in some of the discussions thenceforth :-)
