That Jesus is not the mediator of all men. That Jesus is mediator to the anointed ones only.
Yet 1 Tim 2:5 says
one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
there are a number of things i find that defy logic when it come to watchtower religion.
here is a list...please feel free to add/subtract from it.

is jehovah the creator ?.
apparently jehovah created the "word" or "logos" ( jesus).
and he never created anything else according to bible scripture.. however the first born of creation the logos /jesus was used to create everything else in the material world.. so then isn`t jesus also a creator ?.
Hi Smiddy,
I personally believe it was Yahweh God.
I am still in two minds about Jesus pre existence. I am currently reading some books by J Dan Gill and Anthony Buzzard on this subject.
Here is a short video by Anthony Buzzard regarding 'the word' in John chapter 1.
october 10, 2017 to all congregations re: branch relocationânewsletter.
britain branch relocation project edition 6 autumn 2017.
When they sell on this piece of real estate, I hope they sell it to Willy Wonka or Cadburys. It would make a great chocolate factory with high production in a central location đ
i believe that many witnesses are tired out or at least tiring out.
i know....... because i am tired out!.
imagine going to college for 20 years not knowing when college is finished.
In my last congregation there were 22 who, by their own admission, were depressed
There is an elderly sister in our hall I try to avoid. She constantly focuses on the gloomy side of life. Because I am considered weak spiritually. She looks at me with her little sad eyes and asks in a very sad voice ' oh how are you? Are you ok? Were you unwell? Yadayada
Then she will continue ...'the system is getting worse' ' you just know that Jehovah's going intervene soon etc etc. The sad eyes getting more intense.
How often I want to tell her I feel absolutely wonderful. I am part of the awake class and am fed up with the BS we are given week in and week out. The only time I feel down is when I am in this freaking hall wishing to get home and that the only reason I am there is purely for social reasons.

At least in part, he helped me begin the process of waking up
In regards to waking up. Isn't it amazing how many of us find it so difficult to wake our relatives up and see what we can clearly see.
It reminds me of 'the cave' by Plato. No matter how hard you try, our relatives and friends think we have been overtaken by Satan and they continue to 'look' to the GB.
i believe that many witnesses are tired out or at least tiring out.

Imagine going to college for 20 years not knowing when college is finished. Constantly studying the same stuff over and over in the same boring way. Getting no thanks for all your efforts.
Couple that with the age of the internet and all the negative exposure Watchtower is receiving ....enough said.
Though faith is important. Many need their faith. The repressive rules, teachings and routines of the watchtower society sets people up to fail. . Gradually over the years many simply tire out; or in some cases when individuals find they can't jump high enough, they give up.
Your thoughts?
my freind (who is also out) and i were talking about this the other night.
i was a born-in, 3rd generation jw and she converted when she was in her late 20's.. when she left, she said that she knew the world wasn't as bad as she was told as a jw, so she knew she would be fine.
also, she still had lots of "worldly" family who welcomed her back with open arms.. it was harder for me - i had nobody in the "world", no family or freinds.
For born ins it must be difficult given that so many relatives may be involved. From the many you tube videos, most appear to be born ins expressing their anger and frustration.
For those who were converted like myself, it depends on how long you have been in the religion, also if you marry into a family that has a large number of members involved; or if you have kids that grow up and they have kids etc, then things can get pretty sticky.
For me things are sticky. I have been trying to work a way out of this religion, but would turn my families world upside down if I got it wrong. Whats more I have an over zealous mother who would shun me at the drop of a hat and told me so herself re the loyalty card.

Taken from jw.orgs book 'God's kingdom rules' chapter 18
9 As Kingdom subjects today, we do not need to be coerced into giving. Quite the contrary, we gladly use our money and other resources to support Kingdom activities. Why are we so willing to give? Consider three reasons
i am quite interested in something mike and kim said in their video when talking about why their you tube videos are being taken down.
in their video below, at around 35 seconds.
mike say's that he has being trying to tell people that the boys in pennsylvania are the real power behind watchtower - not the governing body?.
Actually, I could give a rats ass what you want to believe. But spreading foolishness like this post only does a disservice to the ex-JW community. It validates current Jehovah's Witnesses beliefs that most so called 'apostates' are INDEED spreading lies and false information about their former religion
Sparky
I think we are going to have to agree to disagree on this thread. I respect your opinion.
However
Can I remind you that as the op shows, I was simply interested in something Mike had said in his video when he was talking about why their you tube videos were being taken down.
In their video (in the op), at around 35 seconds. Mike say's that he has being trying to tell people that the boys in Pennsylvania are the real power behind watchtower - NOT the Governing Body?
I was simply curious, if not fascinated by this statement. I didn't say he was right. I didn't say he was wrong. I was simply curious and wanted to find out more. I was hoping to get some more information about this on this forum, that was all! That's called research, something most people do on this forum.
I felt there was some credibility to what Mike said, given that he can usually back up his information with documents/proof etc. He mentioned in his video in the op that the reason he got several strikes on some of his videos was because the 'boys in Pennsylvania' had contacted YouTube to complain.
I also found the dinner arrangements at the annual meeting for 'corporate members and their guests' interesting. Yes, I might be speculating, and it's my own personal opinion, but the arrangements did sound a little segregated/exclusive. I just found it interesting that the money men, the policy makers, effectively the people with clout who run the organisation, get to sit at the head of the table as it were in a separate room. Luke 14:13
So as per above, this thread is not about spreading foolishness, lies, false stories or creating a disservice to the ex JW community. It was about honest research into finding out more about the Pennsylvanian connection.
