  so some ex-jws and i were at dinner last night talking about how some of the ones baptized this year were so young.

  a few under the age of 10!!

  can you imagine if a kid got dfd at that age.... would the congregation shun them?

  Youngest I've personally known as disfellowshipped was a 14yo girl.

  i have read extensively about the origins of birthdays, and i still don't get it.

  after busting my butt at work this week, half of saturday would be out in service half of sunday would be at the meeting.

  then i would be stressing to get the yard in shape for the summer.

  and maybe after that have a couple hours to relax!.

  Why I now believe Jehovah's witnesses are a cult!

  i always tended to avoid using the word 'cult' to describe jehovah's witnesses.

  instead, i preferred referring to them as a 'high control group'.

  however, having watched the shocking and bizarre behaviour by so called jehovah's witness elders toward eric wilson (borean pickets), this now confirms beyond any doubt in my mind that the watchtower organisation is nothing more than a cult.. i would seriously encourage everyone to watch the video in it's entirety and see how truly cultlike they are.. my jaw still hitting the floor 😮.

  The reason I mentioned this was there was high hopes the charity commission a few years back were going to make an impact on watchtower, but it all kind off fizzled out. So with that in mind, is there much hope that the 'Independent inquiry child sex abuse' will make a difference?

  I Ended my Bible Study

  Wise move 👍. I tried to end my study 25 years ago, was coerced into baptism and here I am all this time later still trying to figure out how to leave officially without losing a number of relatives. They are a high control corporation that encourages it's members to shun anyone who decides to leave/disassociate (relatives or not)

  Totally understand. I'm in the same predicament with my wife. I've gone through everything with her, but her social circle is too big within the Borg. So she and my daughter still attend. Best not to pressure your husband as you will only get frustrated. It's very hard to move on. It impact families the world over
