I had witnesses brag that they routinely went to the "charitable stores" and purchased things cheaply and sold them on ebay for more money. Hypocritical?

Who left or got stumbled over the 1995 generation thing?

I remember an elderly sister announcing at work in October of 1994 that this was 80 years, a biblical "generation", after 1914. I remember the change in the generation teaching in 1995, but it was like I never believed a generation to an absolute time period. However, when we got into the early 2000's I thought, "this is on the outside limits of their teachings, give or take some for error, the end must be close". Then, 9-11 happened and I thought well let's see. I remember that I thought things couldn't last much past 2008 by WTBTS chronology.
I was having some awaking thoughts and beginning my research in 2006-2008. One of the subjects I investigated was a "rumor" heard years before from a friend, Brandt Jones, about the Society joining the United Nations as NON-GOVERNMENTAL-ORGANIZATION. I remember telling my father-in-law this rumor and he said, "that would be apostacy", and well he (my father in law) was correct. Thanks to Brandt Jones, he even mentioned the book that Ray Franz had written while playing a game of pool at his house, and said emphatically, "they got rid of the wrong guy, everything he said has turned out correct". Later I downloaded the book and read it.
My grandfather died in 1999 and I remember my mother telling grandfather on his deathbed, that he would not die, because the end would be here before he died since he was born in 1914. Obviously, her hopes have been dashed. But, while becoming critical of the organization after the 1995 generation change, I never made a real stand until I heard the "overlapping" generation change in 2010, and I thought immediately, "what a load of crap". I remember visiting with an elderly friend immediately after the convention and asked what he thought, and his reply was, "well that makes sense'. It was at that moment that I was "out" mentally from the organization.

Joe134cd, interesting reply, very standard reply, meaning that all is well in their paradise and they don't want to hear it. I guess there is peace when you just put your head in the sand.

Remember what happened in 2005?
by Terry inwould any of us defend the right of a medicine manufacturer to advertise curative powers without side effects when evidence to the contrary was indicated?.
would any of us defend the right of a pharmacist to make up his own prescriptions and pass it off as what our physician specifically gave to us?.
would any of us approve equal time for tv advertisers to promote products as effective which had repeatedly proved to be dangerous?.

I wonder if copyright infringement means anything when WTBTS lets you download, use, and print information for free? They say they don't want it posted on the internet, but these are people that give their literature away and leave in in phone booths and laundry mats?

The UNFORGIVABLE Sin: What Is It?
by Cold Steel injesus said: .
verily i say unto you, all sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: but he that shall blaspheme against the holy ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.

WTBTS has an all out war on education beyond the very minimum. They continue demonizing education:
"15 What is the atmosphere in many of this world’s institutions of higher education? Are they not at times hotbeds of political and social unrest? (Eph. 2:2) By contrast, Jehovah’s organization provides the highest form of education in the peaceful setting of the Christian congregation.
Higher education, with its emphasis on academic study, often produces graduates who have few or no practical skills, leaving them unprepared to deal with the realities of life. By contrast, Jehovah’s servants choose education that helps them to develop the necessary skills so that they can maintain a simple life of service to God." (Watchtower, October 15, 2013)
The article entitled "Slave for Jehovah" should have been entitled "Slave for the self-appointed members of the Governing Body". This article was nauseating.

Ding, you are correct. My experience with trying to reason with Witnesses of their contraditions, flip flops, and new light/old light discussions, they just don't want to hear it, Period. Good comment.

What about setting up a booth for each one of their booths, with literature and website information bringing attention to the truth of jehovah's witnesses for public awareness to cults.

The Watchtower Corporations Money Making Schemes Need Some Restructuring To Survive
by frankiespeakin inthe primary money making for the watchtower corporation has been to scam people into being door to door saleman for their product for free or practically for free.
bethel is all run by unpaid workers who claim a vow of poverty, bad for the worker but lucrative for the corporation.. now this printing of literature business must be loosing money now that they went over to a free will donation and not asking for a dollar amount in return for the stuff they produce.
so what are some possible restructuring that they can do to offset this downward trend in income?.

Realestate flipping, using "volunteer" labor to maintain, rebuild, build, etc, they have also slipped into providing the cars for the CO's that I believe is a money maker for them, as is their insurance programs for the congregations.
Relief work WTS does with volunteer labor in areas of disaster is all done with volunteer labor, and many donated materials, but they encourage the publishers to donate the full amount of insurance received from the real insurance companies to the society.
They have the assembly halls to fleece several times a year, if your old and wealthy they are interested in your money.
They have money invested in stock portfolios and hedge funds that most of us do not have access to. It looks like they are going out of the printing business by the size of the magazines, and hammering these other areas as they still claim a non-profit status on all their endeavors.
