speaking of schools, in 2006 I moved from a Hall where I was on the school into a Hall, where the School servant ask if I was joining and I think I say yes...but that was the end of it . He evidently forgot to follow through and I was glad of it. I never joined when it was suggested from time to time for ones who weren't on the school to do so. I reasoned I had enough stress in my life without that addition. There were a few times when I forgot I had an assignment and had to scramble to throw something together ... I had been in the school for over 30 years . I didn't like doing assignments in the second school. I felt like if I put the work into it, I wanted an audience. More glad than ever now I didn't rejoin.

Second school
by llubrevlis2000 inhas the auxiliary class or second school been done away with?.
when i grew up in my congregation we even had three schools, so three bible readings and three lots of student assignments.. after covid it seems everything is easier, less assignments now some only seem to get one or two per year.. being an elder is much easier these days, everything is done for you.
meetings are full of videos and q&as need no preparation you could take a watchtower or cong book study with zero preparation and most midweek meetings have q&as that requires no preparation .

How did it come to this?
by New day ini am now in my early 60’s.
i was baptized in 1980. i served as a ministerial servant and an elder.
i gave my all for many years but about eight years ago i started to question many things.

"loyalty above honesty"- I love it ...that says it perfectly...first a person has to stop lying to themselves. Being loyal to the org keeps them dishonest to themselves and therefore liars to all they would try to convert. Yet the JW says Jehovah wants honest hearted ones-and so the R and F pat themselves on the back because they sit in the KH because they think themselves honest hearted. Which is an interesting thought: where do they get that honest hearted bit from when the Bible says the heart is treacherous? "who can know it"

kimsilvo...funny how you can hear the same thing as another and get a different take...I thought the lawyers that all the elders are expected to talk to were for the state...anyway, that time line starts about an hour in. He mentioned the elders weren't supposed to tell other elder...like that will happen! I do hope I heard this part right: the litigation hold notification has been sent out to all the congregations...did I understand the correctly?

My crystal ball ( figuratively speaking ) is telling me, there will be Elders moving out of the state of PA...Mark did mentions it being a systematic , county by county interview, but I am thinking the word will spread...the org has likely already sent memos to the Pa. congregations.

desirousofchange,,,,resignations won't help....they are going back to 1987...so I would dare to say, even if some have left, it there name is on a CSA situation at a KH, they will get questioned. And just think of the ones who are themselves guilty and the boys club buried it...a whole lot of shakin goin on.

as to gun laws...if guns are out lawed, only outlaws willl have guns...it isn't the gun that kills but the person pulling the trigger. At 15 years old, it it likely the fellow wasn't legally old enough to have a gun...different ages for different states and I didn't look it up. I hope they catch that kid and it would be interesting to know his reasons-not that the killing is justified. I just watched a news clip where there is a gofundme for the family ( no life insurance ) per the new clip 15,000 had been raised. I feel sad for those people.

by LostintheFog1999 inassuming that you don't dismiss genesis outright as a collection of myths, i was musing about the actions of god as recorded in genesis 11:1-9 regarding the building of the tower of babel.. this origin story for the multiplicity of languages in the earth has god getting annoyed with humans for staying in one location instead of filling out across the whole world.. yahweh could have stopped the tower being built by collapsing it by means of an earthquake, sinking sand, or an extreme gale.
even using an angel to kick it over when everyone was tucked up in bed asleep.
but no, instead he muddles up the vocabulary and grammar and made brand new languages creating division and confusion.. what's more he didn't scatter them and send them off in mixed multicultural groups, but instead he lets them wander off in tribes and family groups.

Here is a rather odd thought that came to me. All the people in one place and one language if you believe the Bible and Almighty God found that NOT GOOD...Now consider what the WEF have up their sleeve. Brain chips in everyone so you don't even have to speak to communicate and crowding people into their proposed cities and control the people. Even without the brain chips, A I can translate...The WEF's plan is to take over the land and herd everyone into these cities. If you believe the Bible, this too is in opposition to God Almighty and there is an behind the WEF. Not sure I am being coherent here in my ramblings. It's sort of like history repeating itself.
