I will be vilified for this conspiracy. I have listened to a lot of youtube videos while working so I don't remember where I heard this. Anyway, it makes sense if true. Russel was part of some secret society in which he had to be sacrficed on a certain day ( or something like that ) Has anyone else heard that theory or know more about it?

Charles Taze Russell & His Secret Mission To S. California That Killed Him
by West70 inthe last 5 months of charles taze russell's life was quite hectic, and according to reports in the watch tower magazine, russell's health was declining throughout.
in september, 1916, russell went on a convention train tour which lasted nearly the entire month.
this train tour included stops in several southern california locations around the 8th through the 12th.

then it's all confusing word salad...as in Jesus has been king since 1914, but hasn't sat on his throne to judge yet. They did the same with the faithful slave as in the slave was appointed in 1919 but won't get appointed over all his belongings until after tribulation. They just twist these scriptures to fit whatever scenario they want and the r and f eat that hog wash all up. The scriptures about the faithful slave was twisted and lifted out of context decades ago-we were just too gullible to catch on.

Are JWs forgetting Jesus altogether?
by KerryKing ina relative sent me yesterday's wt study article 46, how jehovah guarantees his promise of paradise.. it's been a long time since i read one of those articles but what really struck me about this one is that, considering it's discussing a fundamental jw belief, it only mentions jesus twice as an aside, and not at all as the central figure like the bible does.
it actually mentions satan far more in the same article!.
i don't remember this discrepancy from my time in the org 15 years ago.

SadElder...exactly...if he has yet to become judge for separating the sheep and goats, how could he have inspected the religions and appoint the JW as faithful slave? Wouldn't you have to have been judging to do that? ( of course, most on here know it's bogus anyway )

Are You Ready for the Most Important Day of the Year?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inluke 22:14 so when the hour came, he reclined at the table along with the apostles.
and he said to them: “i have greatly desired to eat this passover with you before i suffer; 16 for i tell you, i will not eat it again until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of god.” 17 and accepting a cup, he gave thanks and said: “take this and pass it from one to the other among yourselves, 18 for i tell you, from now on, i will not drink again from the product of the vine until the kingdom of god comes.”.
19 also, he took a loaf, gave thanks, broke it, and gave it to them, saying: “this means my body, which is to be given in your behalf.

rules and regulations- Matt 26:28 says forgiveness of sins for the Many....not just 144000 who are said to be corulers in the kingdom. The covenant for the kingdom was a separate covenant. Jw comingle the two so as to bolster their authority and lord it over the r and f.

they cherry pick scripture to support their lies. Cross reference to Matt 26:28 28 This is my blood of the[a] covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. /// poured out for the many for forgiveness of sins. ( not about choosing a ruling heavenly class )

Elders testing some promising men by talking like an apostate?
by Person incouple years ago as a promising ms i had some weird conversations with two young elders.
it was always as we where alone only i and the elder.
they would initiate a conversations about things like blood doctrine, celebrating birthdays, view on homosexuality etc.

If I get your drift, do you think they are just acting so as to entrap you? The thought I had is, if you think that, turn the tables and say I am going to have to report you to the other elders for apostasy. lol I do know elders don't hesitate to set you up for a fall-loving shepards that they are. -

Hotels for convention
by ElderBerry ina department in bethel wants to try to make money from regional conventions by asking local hotels if they will give a special rate and a coupon code to give to jws.. .
they should just keep it simple and not be greedy for dishonest gain.. .
this year some convention sites the hotels said no thank you i think the jws are going to book with us anyway.

I found this article: https://www.hotelmanagement.net/operate/paying-intermediaries-analysis-hotel-commissions
Intermediaries do make commissions so I am assuming the JW qualify based upon how I read it.

We were always told to support the rooming list as the best prices had been negotiated for us. This discussion suggests that the r and f are being lied to, but rather, it is the best deal for the org to make money. If this is the case, the r and f need to be told! So PIMOs tell it out! It was always a hardship to travel and stay in motels. ( and a struggle to get to the rooming list when it was posted because everyone wanted first shot at the best or cheapest places.) Again, I hope someone posts more info about how the rooming is actually managed if they know.
