by tfjw injehovah's witnesses basically define the term "apostate" as someone who was once a member of the "organization" (a jehovah's witness) but no longer follows the teachings, rules, regulations and practices.
the society gives their official definition in the following manner: "apostasy is abandoning or deserting the worship and service of god, actually a rebellion against jehovah god.
some apostates profess to know and serve god but reject teachings or requirements set out in his word.

I don't know what MCDonald's people earn...but let's say you work 40 hours a week for $15 ( and I think that is high for this area for any non professional and even some professionals at the end of the day ) So you make 600 week and I will say take home less 20% = $480 x 4 = $1920 a month. The average apartment rent here ( I just looked it up )is $1464 a month. ( you are right-no designer purses! ) if you keep the utilities on, I guess you are going to the food bank. This is a pity...working people need the gov. subsidy... here is a personal fact- I have a small business. It beats minimum wage, but not welfare...People on welfare have it better than I do.

Sea Breeze...thanks for pointing out a word that never registered in my mind. A quick research does reveal, as per usual, different versions of Bible translate it differently. I will never understand the "tripartite", because there is no way anyone could ever convince me that Jesus is part of a trinity. The only mystery I see with the trinity ( which I have heard said is a mystery ) is that anyone believes it to start with.

excuse me, but I don't see in the Bible Jesus position in the godhead...( don't see the word godhead!)
so I will just choose to believe what the Bible really says as to his position, which you can choose to believe or not.
Ps 110:1 Jehovah declared to my Lord;" Sit at my Right Hand until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet. ( quoted at Acts 2:34 Matt22:44 Heb 1:14 )
Acts 2:33 Therefore, because he was exalted to the Right Hand of God and received the pomished holy spirit from the Father, he has pured out what you see and hear.
Acts 5:31 God exalted this one as Chief Agent and Savior to his Right Hand, to give repentace to Israel and forgiveness of sins.
Notes: Ps 110:1 doesn't say Jesus will place his enemies at his feet-which he would have if he were GOD
Act 2:33 he received holy spirit from the Father...If he were God, why would he give it to himself?

I am posting these thoughts here for those of you who think Jesus is God
John 10:30 " I and the Father are ONE."
John 17:21 so that they may all be ONE , just as you Father, are in UNION with me and I am in UNION with you, that they also may be in UNION with us, so the the world may believe that you sent me.....23 I in UNION with them and you in UNION with me.....
Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor freeman, there is neither male nor female, for YOU are all ONE in UNION with Christ Jesus.
The point of bringing out these scriptures is if you believe that Jesus is God Almighty because he says they are ONE or that he says he is in UNION with God, then by extention of that reasoning, all who have faith in Jesus would be GOD.

AnnaNana, It seems to me you have faith and trust in JWorg....they bring repoach upon Jehovah to put it mildly. When the publish lies in his name...LIES because Truth stands up and doesn't keep changing. Satan is the father of the lie. Do they teach some truths? sure, as do other religions...doesn't mean Jehovah claims them for his organization. Christendom was in other countries promoting the Bible and Christ and Almighy God long before the WTBTS ever came along. So one could argue Chrstendom is God's organization. The JW claim they are God's organization because Jesus chose them as the faithful steward in 1919...they were preaching all manner of lies , notably that miiions then living wouldn't die, pyramidology, and lots of other nonsense if you do the research. So for JWorg to be Jehovah's organization, he would have had to approve all the lies and false prophecy during that time frame if one is willing to believe JW WTBTS. You can't have it both ways. Either it is JWorg and the truth or it isn't. JWorg doesn't allow you to have it both ways...You HAVE to trust that the GB are the slave and do as you are told.

My mom died.
