  Jesus and Hail Zeus

  maybe not the best subject area for post, but i was watching 3 different youtube channels in which pronounciations of god's and his son's names were being discussed.

  all 3 agreed that the scribes ( i believe thought to be greek ) when copying yeshua ( jesus) into greek used a word ( instead of yeshua ) that in greek meant hail zeus so that christians would unwittingly praise their god.

  at least 2 of the videos mentioned the nicean counsel and over 50 gods were being voted on and they finially voted on 2 : krishna and zeus ( jesus christ ) anyway, all of this was interesting to say the least.

  i always found it amazing that so many jws got blind drunk at parties and got away with it!

  i suppose alcohol was the only fun thing we were allowed to partake in....

  I was working with a brother in his garage staining trim for a KH build. I had drank no more than 2 beer over a good period of time while working. Some brothers from the Hall build site stopped by to get me to take me home. Months later, when I was reporting on another's adultery and the elders were trying to protect him, they threw shade on me, accusing me of being drunk while staining the trim. They said it had been reported to them, but never told me who said it. One of the brothers who picked me up was in that Judicial meeting and he kept his mouth shut. When leaving I told him, he knew it wasn't true because he had picked me up and drove me home as had been pre arranged. To this day, I don't know who spread that lie. People could report anything about you, tell anysort of lie ( like I was shacked up in a motel with a person ) and you would never know who spread these lies. Really, if someone had something against you, they were to tell you first...not so with the JW hypocrites.

  do you all think that if you are baptized, but not going in service, but are taking a 'seat" every so often so as to be seen that you are not being counted in the equasion sent in monthly at $10.75 per . I can't say for sure, but I think if you baptized and on their radar either by turning in 15 min. or showing up occasionally or zoom, or call in ( and they don't know you are watching netflix instead) that you are being considered in the "mandatory" donation.

  if you are PIMO and not donating, that means some R and F is putting is the $10.25 or maybe more for your seat! So whether you like it or not, because you are counted, they Org gets money! I took myself out because I didn't want them to be able to count me and collect. I wonder how much the PIMO are worth every month to the org.

  the speaker was saying there were 3 people who would never lie to you-always tell you the truth : jehovah, jesus, and gb ( faithful slave ) ( uncouth, but insert gag!

  If the org really thinks the "slave" will never lie to you, and Tony was part of the truthful slave,why take down the spiritual food at the proper time he shared? What? Isn't that like canceling the "voice of Jesus"?

Think about it. If a witness had an antique pagan relic or maybe even an expensive "cross" necklace, they would be expected to destroy it and not even sell it although valuable. The org condemns many of the things they have stock in and yet keeps the stock for the dividends. What hypocrites!

  journeyman...To my knowledge there are recommended minimum donations per publisher in congregation and it varies by country. I want to say in the US, it is $8.75 but the elders are encouraged to get more blood from the turnips. that is one reason I "resigned"...I didn't want the local congregation to send in the $8.75 for my head count. This money is from the congregations and not from what is donated directly to Worldwide work. OH MY! edit: I just saw where it is now $10.75 per publisher by newly enlightened... Thanks newly enlightened...now I have to watch the video.
