It is also important to know- out of all the people who leave the JW's, how many leave out of their own and how many are kicked out or disfellowshipped by the JW's themselves.

Interesting. Third world countries are still growing in numbers. Cults and Religions reach people faster than the Internet.

Less magaiznes per year
by punkofnice inonly 6 very thin magazines per year and then recycling the propaganda within.. how are your local congregations spinning this?.
i heard a local congo-abongo-i is launching a campaign™ to place as amny magazines as possible in the month (this or next...not sure..sources sketchy).
which i find a bit strange.

Dreawyeather, so the R&F are using these vids to replace the rags?
At least in India. Here, we don't get printed public edition magazines since 2016. Only study magazines. So only tracts, brochures and videos.
I've never been shown a vid, well I've not been called on in over 20 years, not that I would look at any of their vids
Maybe you are on a do not call list
how many people have the time to stand there and watch a vid via a iPad being shoved in their faces?
I don't know But people would likely prefer a 1 min video rather than a 32/16 page magazine
we all knew how little the rags were ever read.
Yes, even WT knows this, thus they are not printing it.

No ones cares pretty much. All are like why to print magazines if website can be used and videos can be shown.
JW Broadcasting videos have replaced the magazines and most JW's are fine with that.

Stop harassing jws
by pomo6780 inwe want people to learn ttatt.
we have numerous resources online to draw jws in so that they will wake up.
however, i've noted some radical methods that have been used by fellow exjws, and quite frankly, this must stop.

Most of these radical methods are just to vent their anger on the JW's and not an attempt to reason with them.
Shouting at JW near carts, Protesting near KH's and Bethels, etc. may make an ex-JW feel good and may give him a way to vent his anger. But he needs to remember that instead of waking up a JW, he will have pushed ten more doubting JW's back deeper into the cult.

Bible is good if we look for implied truth
by venus inthumbs-up gesture doesn’t covey much if we see only four fingers closed and thumb standing upward.
but if we look for the implied meaning, then it is a positive, informal signal indicating a job well done, and saying ‘keep it up.’.
similarly, biblical accounts don’t convey much if we see them as mere accounts.

Yeah, but none of them are as effective or parsimonious as a simple Fuck Off is.
True. They are as effective as the JW cart witnessing.

Cofty who is treating you equally to everyone else who spouts new-age nonsense.
Really? by using profanities like "fuck off"?
Dropping the F bomb in the middle of a conversation just shows how socially ignorant and rash a person can be. Using cuss words does no help to the topic being discussed other than hurting other person's sensitivities. There are a million words in the English vocabulary which a person can use to express himself rather than taking the lazy short cut of using profanities.
If you are angry that someone doesn't want to believe or doesn't agree with what you say, just leave the discussion. No one is under obligation to win an argument.

If mathematics teacher made a mistake, would it mean mathematics itself is wrong!
by venus inmany people point to the irrationality in the depiction of god by the religions and their scriptures, hence jump into the bottomless pit of atheism.
in either camp, god is not a factor because religion is only a means that misrepresents god, hence religionists themselves are atheists (literally, those who live without god).
it is like saying there exists no earth because you found out your friend who taught earth is flat is wrong; or it is like saying mathematics itself is wrong because you found out your mathematics teacher made a mistake.

The entire discussion is like a group of people from the 9th Century discussing whether humans can travel from one continent to another in less than a day. Science of that day had not progressed and still had 10 more centuries to go before airplanes were invented that made this a reality.
Gravity, the planets and galaxies have always existed from billions of years, however, were proved and explained much recently by Science.
So the question that I have is, Does God not exist because we have no proof of his existence? or, is it that science has not progressed yet to explain his existence? Can we tell that God may exist, but science cannot prove his existence? as in science was not in a position to accurately explain gravity in the 5th century BC, but that didn't mean that Gravity did not exist then.
