  i heard on the meeting about apps called nwpublisher and cartsmart.

  new world publisher (nw publisher) is a free apple ios and google android app created by jehovah’s witnesses for jehovah’s witnesses.

  congregation publishers can install new world publisher on their mobile devices and be more united and connected with their congregation.. cartsmart was built to streamline the way we schedule our public witnessing shifts.

  Its an app created by a team of JW's, but not affiliated with the organization itself. Many congregation elders use it as it makes it easy to create schedules tabulate reports and manage territory records. I have used it myself and have encouraged many congregations to do so.

  Jehovah help us all. This religion is not what we've grown up in is totally unrecognizable.

  why? You preferred the old way of using paper records and excel sheets to do the work? If you have younger elders, they would obviously prefer this app over paper records.

  I have uninstalled this app, unless someone knows some ids and pins?

  These ID's and pins would be available only if your elders decided to use the app for your congregation. My congregation BOE uses this app and had sent the ID's and PINs to congregation members to join in the app. When I was the secretary, the app saved 90% of my time as it auto-generated student assignments based on the assigment history and generated slips and automatically sent it to the student's whatsapp and email ID's.

  on october 27, 2023, site plan approval was granted for new construction at the bethel facilities in the town of fishkill, new york, u.s.a. this approval from the town planning board means that work on the new fishkill support center of jehovah’s witnesses can begin immediately.

  They're laying off Bethelites.

  Not sure. In 2022, globally they had 1,000 more bethelites than in 2021.

  So they're building another complex besides the movie studio??!!!

  Yes, based on what I know from a Bethelite friend, they have purchased 2 more properties the size of Warwick in the US. Also, each country will have its own Patterson style educational centre (separate from the country's Bethel), like the one they recently constructed in Brazil. All schools will be conducted in these centres and students will stay in that property and not in the residential homes of JW's.

  While we see a lot of KH selling going on in the US, on the other side a lot of property is also being purchased in the US and around the world. Its not an American religion anymore, so no need to have everything in the US. If the HQ in the US collapses, the work will continue from elsewhere.

  On October 27, 2023, site plan approval was granted for new construction at the Bethel facilities in the town of Fishkill, New York, U.S.A. This approval from the Town Planning Board means that work on the new Fishkill Support Center of Jehovah’s Witnesses can begin immediately.

  The new construction will be built on a 23-hectare (57-acre) site across the street from the existing Bethel accommodations. The support center will include a two-story, 4,366-square-meter (47,000-sq-ft) office building, a 1,393-square-meter (15,000-sq-ft) maintenance building, and a 1,393-square-meter (15,000-sq-ft) recreation building. Outdoor recreation areas are also planned. Considerable attention has been given to designing the site in a sustainable and environmentally conscious way.
  

  
  New Bible Educational Center Opens in Brazil (jw.org)

  On December 3, 2023, Brother Eduardo Martines, a member of the Brazil Branch Committee, delivered the dedication talk at a local Assembly Hall for a new Bible educational center in Cabreúva, Brazil.   Further education

  i just saw on a video that there has been a change about further education.

  here is a screenshot of a letter that went to all elders.

  i am an elder but i don’t remember this one, perhaps it is only for some areas?.

  The letter is bogus, I confirmed and elders have not received any such letter.

  While higher education is discouraged, however, if an elder or anyone in his family pursues higher education, this doesn't automatically lead to his deletion. His qualifications are "reviewed", as in, it is seen if he is still fulfilling all his other jobs as an elder and is allowed to stay if his education is not coming in between his responsibilities.

  In my congregation, all the elders are raised in the truth, are university graduates, and are well-off financially. Even the smarter ones who did not pursue higher education are doing well in their businesses as making a good income is not completely dependent on being college graduated.

  Where is Tony?

  on february 22, 2023, anthony morris iii was officially removed from the governing body of jehovah's witnesses.

  a few months later it was revealed that the watchtower bought him a house in lumberton, north carolina.. however, and correct me if i am wrong, since leaving the gb nobody has reported seeing tony attending jw meetings or participating in field service.

  in fact nobody has reported seeing him anywhere, not even at a local liquor store.

  I knew about one house. Can someone please tell me about the second house.

  Two weeks after Morris stopped serving in the GB, the WT bought a house for him in the Lumberton area. On the same day, two or three blocks to the left the WT bought another house.

  While the name of the grantee for the first house is Morris and his wife, the grantee for the second house is the WT itself, so its not clear for whom it is bought for.

  Rest all what you hear over here are speculations.

  the watchtower's many legal problems and the jws' use of carts in their preaching work, reminded me of a scene and dialog from the film patton.. in a scene where patton is viewing a battle site the morning after, he says to an aide about the nazis: “you know how i know that they're finished out there?

  in my dreams i saw the carts.

  they kept buzzing around in my head and i couldn't figure out why.

  Actually, the change in field service requirements doesn't make a massive change in the JW world. Those who were not serious enough in the past will continue to remain so, albeit they don't have to fake a number for their reports again. Die-hard JW's will continue their work as is or join the Aux pioneer or Reg pioneer ranks if they want to report their numbers.

  Life in a spiritual (UN)-paradise

  a long, long time ago, when i was young, i became a 'special' pioneer.

  it meant that i had to spend 150 hours a month, and i received a small allowance.

  i was then assigned to a small country congregation, in western nsw (australia).

  How Do Jehovah's Witnesses View Education?

  Most of the higher education stuff is just on paper. It depends on how your local elders view you. In my congregation, all 4 elders are young married men, raised in the truth, and university graduates, one of them even a postgraduate with a P.hD. You need to know your way through people to succeed in any organization, even the JW's. If you don't, then you are screwed, whether you pursue a college education or not.

  i understand he intimated that the faithful slave was not the only spokesman for jehovah god.

  he also intimated that corporal punishment was not advocated by the wts.

  we're these lies or deception or did they represent the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?.

  The only conclusion that can be made from this is that you admit prior to the 80s the org. taught parents to be abusive when it came to discipline.

  Of course I meant that. There is nothing to admit. All JW's in during the 80 and 90's including us knew that the using the rod meant spanking your child. People were not suddenly spanking their kids after becoming JW's and reading the articles about it. It was an accepted form of punishment in many lands.

  Now whether spanking your kid constitutes "abuse" is a different spectrum of discussion.

  Also, my point was that at the time of the ARC testimony, JW's didn't endorse corporal punishment.
