Where is professional help even mentioned??
Read the references given after the sentence - g 4/14 pages 6-9. It mentions about getting professional help.
does anyone know if the new elders' manual addresses attempted suicide?
in the previous manual, it was seen as a potential judicial matter, which is absolutely ridiculous.
have they changed it?

Even if they say that in most cases a judicial hearing is not required, why even put it in that category?
Because in many cases judicial action is required. In a congregation in my city, a child abuser attempted suicide once he got to know that he has been outed. His attempt to suicide was a hoax to claim mental depression and wiggle out of a JC and the law. While elders were dealing with him compassionately, the police officers arrested him and gave him a beating of his life. He is behind bars.
The judicial hearing will not be for the attempted suicide, but for the reason behind it. and the reason behind attempting suicide or a pretense of attempting suicide is not always depression.

No mention is made how they intend to give them financial aid or assistance to get JWs out of Russia. - Listener
Really Listener? You really feel that Watchtower should publicly provide the details of its plans regarding their adherents in Russia who are banned as extremists?
Now that's another irony.
We caution people on this site not to divulge personal details due to the presence of so-called "Watchtower spies".
But...
We want an organisation to spill out their plans to protect their members against a totalitarian regime?

I recall some only said they really weren't that concerned about their plight,, I being one. - Brokeback
What should I say to this?
You say that you are not concerned about the torture of JW's in Russia. You don't give 2 farts to these JW's.
But...
When a JW is asked to leave Bethel, you get all concerned about these JW's to the point of thinking about a lawsuit to be filed against WT:
Isn't that ironic?

I didn't say terrorist I said extremist there is a difference you know.- Brokeback
So, what exactly is the difference between a terrorist and an extremist in Russian law? ISIS and JW's both are declared as extremist organisations in Russia.
and If you feel that there is a difference and JW's are not terrorists, why did you in your earlier posts equate the JW's with the terror suspects in the Guantanamo bay?:
So how do all the bleeding hearts for JWs persecuted in a Russia feel about the USA's CIA torturing or enhanced interrogation techniques, used on suspects at Guantanamo Bay? - Brokeback

I can't really give 2 farts what happens to JWs in Russia. - Brokeback Mountain
Just shows how deranged our minds can be.
If one of those 7 Russian JW's comes to this site, do you realize what your statements would mean for him? Is this the way you reach out to JW's to help them learn the truth about JW's? You wish those JW's in Russia should leave their religion but at the same time wish they be tortured till the time they remain JW's.
I hope both of you have a happy life and nothing untoward happen to you.

At least seven of Jehovah’s Witnesses were subjected to torture—electric shocks, suffocation, and cruel beatings—on the first floor of the Russian Investigative Committee’s building at ul. Ostrovskogo, d. 47, in Surgut. While being tortured, officers interrogated the Witnesses, demanding to know: “Where are meetings of Jehovah’s Witnesses held? Who attends the meetings? What are the elders’ last names? What is your mobile phone password?”
On February 15, 2019, mass searches in Surgut started in the early morning hours. Worshippers were taken to the Investigative Committee offices. Investigators began interrogating the Witnesses, who refused to disclose details about their fellow worshippers. After the only legal representative in the room left, victims report that the following occurred: agents put a bag over the victims’ heads, sealed it with tape, tied their hands behind their backs, and beat them. Then, after stripping the Witnesses naked and dousing them with water, the agents shocked them with stun guns. This sadistic torture lasted for about two hours.

For all those here who support Russia's ban on JW's: Do you really feel that the individual rank and file deserve the above treatment? Do you honestly feel that this is the way to stop JW's?
Plus you'll never get fired and its easy work.
Never get fired? You need to do some more research on this.
Try to find the fate the following three GB members: Raymond Franz, Ewart Chitty and Leo Greenlees.
thanks to atlantis, this statement is mentioned on chapter 1 paragraph 1 in the middle.
but i like how the statement says members but the sentence right before has the governing body dudes in a collective whole like voltron here is the paragraph in whole.
1. governing body: the governing body of jehovah's witnesses is made up of brothers who are anointed servants of jehovah god.
The only ones who don't have to listen to anyone, and don't have to explain themselves to anyone? Right, the GB
As a group may be. But as individuals, the GB members are sometimes on their own.
Remember what happened to Raymond Franz, Ewart Chitty, and Leo Greenlees?
they have a very big child abuse enabler international reputation in the courts can these things be a reason for banning these stupid ass carts that claims to have all the answers to mans hardest questions.. why should every library have to permit them to plant their lame ass carts close to the entrance.. i'm thinking that soon due to all the bad publicity surrounding the jehovah witness cult leaders that cart witnessing will come to be seen as a very big waste of time by all it's members that have become hall less thus missing a shit load of meeting and a beginning to start thinking for themselves.. i'm sure many jws hate this type of work even now, even though it's an easy way to get your time in and not be labeled inactive or keep the elders off your back.
have you noticed that a lot of carts don't have a jw near by?
i never see anybody at the carts where i live, i've even asked people nearby and nobody knew who put the cart there.
They make money by charging the congregation for it. If a congregation isn't sending in enough money to cover literature costs with a certain profit margin, the congregation future orders will not will not be honored or not filled.
Brokeback, The WT doesn't charge the congregation for the literature and the carts. There is no calculation done at Bethel to determine a congregation's profit margin.
