What's the point in going door too door. People are not coming in from territorium anyways. Just years and years of wasted hour's. Only reason org continued with door to door was to keep JW's occupied and not thinking.

Will the ministry ever resume?
by optimisticskeptic ingoing on 2+ years of no public ministry.
can't imagine anyone is really enjoying letter writing still or that it's remotely effective.
i'm a little shocked that we haven't resumed yet but i guess that's what happens when the org is run by a bunch of old people (ie high risk for covid) and a bunch of other sheltered germaphobes.

they discouraged you from bothering with non-jw family and to avoid them on holidays!!
i needlessly missed out on some delicious holiday meals with people who genuinely cared about me.

Yeah get a feeling it's to get family Into org. Or telling jws to have good contact with non jw relatives. Why? Because no one in congregation gonna help you in the future. You only have your blood family if something goes wrong. This is what happens when you teach congregation that only true Jesus brothers are the GB and all help should go too them. Creates a "dont help anyone in congregation" environment.

by Foolednomore ini can see it that watchtower will become an online/tv based group with just con-vention hall$.. field service would be letter writing and phone preaching, door to door is done.. watchtower will have pay to view programs and still ask for donations after all that.. zoom meetings are here to stay.
kingdumb halls will be sold off except for con-vention venues, or need for new ones$.. df'ing will continue.
the craziness will continue.

Watchtowers future Is focusing on the children. People are not coming in from territorium so they gonna do what they can too grab the jw children early. More Caleb stuff. Music videos for children. Much more cartoons and stuff. It's gonna be a little of children's church this org. Baptism will go lower and lower in ages. Ms in the teens and elders in there 20s. They gonna focus on the most vulnerable. Before it was the poor and uneducated in the territorium. Now it's gonna be 100 % on jw children. And yes most gonna be online. Regular meetings in khs are mostly for elders that wanna meet up Don't think they are in this org interest anymore.

by pistolpete ini keep hearing that the watchtower org is going to be around forever because of the many other religions that have been around a long time.
but i disagree because the wt is not like other religious cults.. the watchtower's breath of life is dependent on the last days that started in 1914. .
you canāt change 1914 without a death blow to the entire organization.. the watchtower's 2nd reason for staying alive, is it's continual urging that the life saving preaching work of warning people is the most important work ever.. but- it's very obvious to many, even the old ones that instead of speeding up the work------the work is slowing down to a drip.. comment by former believer; .

Remember back in the 80 s all bragging about how watchtower was taking member's from catholic Church. How fast watchtower was moving forward cause God's blessings and catholic Church was bleeding out. All that pompous and bragging sure went out the window.

Was Rutherford the one that took decision to put Gods biblical name on this organization? He banned singing from meeting. Thought it was unbiblica š The whole bible is about singing. Turn org into preaching cooperation instead of biblical one. He seem to be more for organizing then into biblical things. Maeby a scammer seeking attention. The world of a mess the org is today is probably cause many of his decisions.

They probably wish they gone oniine 100%.
