Anything you remember that went in org that you feel embarrassed now? I remember back in the 80s how seems like every magazine was about bashing other group's. How holy and faithful watchtower was compared to catholic church. Or when elders told from podium how God hade approved them (cause title) and rest congregation must work to be accepted also. Today I feel most embarrassed when GB give talk. Slurring, half dead. They just look like cartoon figures.

Help please.
by lastmanstanding inrecently, in the past few months, and this only applies to in dubs who might have taken note, the watchtower study edition made a change.
it mentioned the “warning work” where dubs are going to march around and proclaim everyone is going to die.. anyway, this article said it was now only a possibility, not a sure thing.. i can’t find it.
did watchtology change it already?.

So what. People been warning watchtower for years they hade to change or they end up the way they are to day. Should we go too bethel, knock on there door and say. You all deserve this. Don't think so. Many thing's come from bad decision taken in the 30s. I see most JW's as victims.

(since i did convince their daughter to leave the cult).

Will the ministry ever resume?

can't imagine anyone is really enjoying letter writing still or that it's remotely effective.
i'm a little shocked that we haven't resumed yet but i guess that's what happens when the org is run by a bunch of old people (ie high risk for covid) and a bunch of other sheltered germaphobes.

What's the point in going door too door. People are not coming in from territorium anyways. Just years and years of wasted hour's. Only reason org continued with door to door was to keep JW's occupied and not thinking.

They should have listened too all warnings the last 40 years abouth the cold environment that was developing in congratulations. Then they wouldn't probably be in the world of mess they are now. But of course too them it was all ' murmuring'. They we're not awake as they thought.

Meeting announcement for emergency contact info of non-JW friends & relatives (?)
by LongHairGal ini just saw this post on reddit and can hardly believe it.. if i remember correctly years back they told you not to have anything to do with non-jw friends or relatives.
they discouraged you from bothering with non-jw family and to avoid them on holidays!!
i needlessly missed out on some delicious holiday meals with people who genuinely cared about me.

Yeah get a feeling it's to get family Into org. Or telling jws to have good contact with non jw relatives. Why? Because no one in congregation gonna help you in the future. You only have your blood family if something goes wrong. This is what happens when you teach congregation that only true Jesus brothers are the GB and all help should go too them. Creates a "dont help anyone in congregation" environment.

by Foolednomore ini can see it that watchtower will become an online/tv based group with just con-vention hall$.. field service would be letter writing and phone preaching, door to door is done.. watchtower will have pay to view programs and still ask for donations after all that.. zoom meetings are here to stay.
kingdumb halls will be sold off except for con-vention venues, or need for new ones$.. df'ing will continue.
the craziness will continue.

If they ask hot dog seller down the street to take over and guide GB. Then will see surprises. There's no surprises for the future with current GB. They are not good at taking decisions. It's gonna go downhill as always.

Watchtowers future Is focusing on the children. People are not coming in from territorium so they gonna do what they can too grab the jw children early. More Caleb stuff. Music videos for children. Much more cartoons and stuff. It's gonna be a little of children's church this org. Baptism will go lower and lower in ages. Ms in the teens and elders in there 20s. They gonna focus on the most vulnerable. Before it was the poor and uneducated in the territorium. Now it's gonna be 100 % on jw children. And yes most gonna be online. Regular meetings in khs are mostly for elders that wanna meet up Don't think they are in this org interest anymore.

Some year's ago watchtower wrote that most that abandon org come back. Of course that was a lie.
