There were predictions back in the 80 s about watchtower. It's growth. How fast it was growing in catholic country's like Italy and Brazil. Some JWs even though it would surpass catholic church in some countries. They were fun predictions, cause they always hade a positive tone to them ( even if unreal). Today predictions about watchtower can only be made in negative fashion. Either religion fades away or just continues in a death spiral some more decade/decades. I don't know what positive can be said this days about the religion i spent (wasted) so many years in.

Let's get this straight directly. As many have written already. You don't get removed from GB cause health issue. A guy that looks forward to unite with Jesus to Kill billions and is massive self-righteous, would never believe God would remove him from GB for health reason. I just think Morris wanted future of Org his ways and rest GB told him take the highway

Like now mostly downhill. JWs getting Older and no younger members from territory. Many more khs will be sold. Cause everything is online this day's. Much less door 2 door. Cause everything is online this day's. Teaching will be more diluted. We'll it's been going on for years with magazine written for children as it seems. They probably wanna turn zoom meetings to something fun. More entertainment. So that's probably the aim with new media center. They must remove all old farts 😂 before that. Make org young and hip. I think with new media center and professional Brothers they can pull something of. Not that people gonna flock to org. But change its reputation from a boring mundane cult, too something mainstream. Not to get people into org, but too make people in org enjoy meetings and being a JW little more. So they feel they in org, but same time not. That mental freedom maeby makes them open their wallet more 😊. Compared to being JW in 70 s and 8 day's asamblea, i can say being a JW this day's is not that much different then being in many other Christian groups. When hardliners die of it's gonna become even more softer.

Yeah they treated things like cooperation. Misused bible texts too start congregations fast. Get people appointed. Now org is crisis and new to rebrand itself as loving and caring. A softer touch. But all the hardliners with appointments still have many years to go. Even If they older, they probably can have their appointments for 15-20. more years. Organisation need changes fast. Maeby they making a example with Tony Morris. That anyone can be removed. But many elders believe God put them in the position they are. They maeby put up a fight and Join the ranks of the apostates😊

Another problem they have is the removal of elders or GB members. Bible teaches a person has to reach out for privileges. 1 Timothy 3-13 This statement is trustworthy: If a man is reaching out to be an overseer,a he is desirous of a fine work. Watchtower taught for decades that person was chosen by God ( could be some tactic to make person feel important when he got a privilege). Problem now is that watchtower can not really remove elders or GB members as they want. Cause they were chosen by God and not organisation. Catch 22 😊

Stress of Going to a Summer Convention

however,we thought the magazine on stress was deliberately placed in the summer months because for any jw going to a convention, paying high season hotel rates for themselves or their whole family to stay near the convention centre, fighting coworkers and managers to get the time off work, travelling expenses, buying their own meals for the family, buying new shiny suits and dresses to impress (particularly if you have teenage girls who are looking for their prince), and more.... by the time they come home again and straight away back to work, their nerves will be so frazzled that their stress levels will have sky rocketed!.

All JWs that quitted their Jobs or lost job caused they hade to attend assemblys. I remember watchtower bragging and giving advice that God would bless your efforts if you quit job to attend assemblys. Then watchtower cut down themselves on meeting days and assembly days.

To me how Tony Morris got into into the GB is prime example the attitude that's been for decades in this org. No real control. The kick the can down the road and someone else problem attitude. We gonna do nothing and just wait for Armageddon, cause it's soon here. Not wanting to imply changes. Everything will sort itself out or God is gonna step in and solve everything. That's how they must have thought about child abuse cases. It's only reactive. And reacts to things decades after they should. If this was regular cooperation, most GB members would have lost their jobs long ago.

Tony Morris got into GB at s time when organisation was still total deluded from reality. They didn't see times was changing and you hade to remove Control and loosen up rules. They took totally wrong decisions who should be a GB member. They didn't move forward with the times, instead keep the hardliners and old guard.Their ability too take wrong decisions was manifested again when they put GB in front of camera.

What about this theory. Morris father is co for big company. So family has money. He maeby got bad conscious cause thing's going on with child abuse and such. But as he's the only one with money of the GB members he's in position to step down or leave bethel. Other GB members don't have job skills or pension to rely on if they step down as GB member. Raymond Frans just got kicked out without a penny in his pocket

Yeah when I saw two new GB members. How average, plain and spotless they look, i thought directly that watchtower Is after rebranding themselves. Give another image. And now with Morris thing. It really seems they wanna transform organisation. We'll they must cause things not looking good.
