Well it's either having 40 % on zoom or 40% not attending meetings at all. I think Watchtower prefer 40% on Zoom and sell hall. There would be too much disturbance if suddenly 40% of JWs weren't counted for at meetings.

many of the deletions in the usa appear to be foreign language groups.

What`s the reason some of you think JW`s are in decline ?
by smiddy3 infrom what i can see no such thing is happening.i became a jw in 1960 and remained for about 30 years and the numbers of active jw`s today in the world are far greater than they were back then.. and here in australia the numbers are much higher than they were back then .. so i don`t see that their in decline or have any worries about losing support .. don`t the numbers speak for themselves ?.
is it just wishful thinking on your part ?.

This really Good reason every one is tired. Instead of getting relief, GB got everyone exhausted with all their rules, books magazines, meetings assemblys. So many things that are not needed or could be much much less of. Plus it removes focus on more important things, like Agape. This day's you have too flee from watchtower to get real rest.
Matthew 11:28âCome to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. -

My old congregation is being shuttered
by RULES & REGULATIONS ini just found out from my jehovah's witness cousin that my old congregation is being shuttered due to lack of elders, less than 20 members attending, and that the congregation cannot meet their monthly expenses.. here is a congregation that was started in 1975 with less than 15 members.
it grew to 185 members in the 1990's.
the congregation grew so large that the elders decided to split the congregation in two.

Is someone doing a investigation were Money is going? Private detective or something similar. How can they just sell out halls, other people paid for, keep money and not be considered criminal activity. Only excuse they have given so far is money going to Africa. Just strange not everyone of JWs are wondering about this subject. We talking about millions and millions of dollar.

LV101 I live in Europe( not a English speaking country if you complain about spelling đ). We're I'm at this happened about 15 years ago. In ways I understand many people struggling with emotional problems and halls are not best place too be. It's a boring, depressing soulless place. Add to that watchtower with their do more do more, you are not good enough talks. All doom and gloom. It's a very judgemental atmosphere. I doubt even if they removed zoom that people are gonna return to halls. Meeting attendance has been going down sense the 90s. Nothing gonna change that.

How many new converts do you remember as a JW?
by SydBarrett ininspired by the "whats the reason you think jw's are in decline" thread.
my belief is that almost all the growth, at least in the western world is due to jw's having kids.
i was a 4th generation jw from birth till about age 20, so the timeframe i can comment on would be my teen years.

Another thing that's happening with watchtower and meetings is depression. Being s JW is a heavy load. Lot's of JWs struggling with mental and emotional issues. Going to does boring meetings is not helping someone that has anxiety or depression. It actually makes situation worse. Jws meetings are totally lacking any enthusiasm and real joy. Add the requirements you have too put mask of holiness. There's no way meeting attendance gonna increase.

Great difference in my opinion is, they have too prove themselves now. Heavenly kings have to be example in agape now. Priest class was incharge of education old Jerusalem. All spiritual beings are watching if they prove themselves now, so they can have heavenly responsibility in the future. Think leaders of watchtower have done the 144000 a big disfavour just focusing on preaching and not agape. Putting obstacles with all their Man made rules. Jesus wouldn't like this situation. Matthew 23:13
âWoe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in peopleâs faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to. -

A luncheon with ultra PIMI, elderly relatives
by joe134cd ini had a luncheon yesterday with and aunt and cousin.
the only reason i went, and endured it, was because my father who canât drive wanted to see them.
as i sat there eating the lunch at the restaurant, i couldnât help think how totally oblivious they are to whatâs going on, in an ever expanding organisation of the happiest people on earth.

"Apostates" in here showing all this compassion for older JWs, yet those same JWs wouldn't do the same". Up too the beginning of the 90s, seemed like every watchtower magazine was about bashing other religions. Especially Catholic. Watchtower never been especially interested in people's feeling. They always thought they hade the moral high ground to bash others. It's probably a mindset infused into their members also. I wonder why they suddenly stopped with all their bashing. In ways watchtower started bashing their own members instead. How everyone hade to be holy and clean to be a JW.
