How much in total do you think the W.T.S has payed out in child abuse cases??

they have settled a lot out of court with gagging orders both ways so we will never know how much was payed out there.but some have been made public.

So far, we can only look at three cases that already have been confirmed via internet and newspapers.

If we assume WT will have to pay the recently discussed + $ 2m fine that directly relates to WT's refusal to comply with court that asked for documents, we can add those few million as well.

A total sum including a hypothetical + 2m fine will show it would be very close to $ 18.6 million dollar at this very moment. Nobody will expect this to bring the WT to its knees (yet!), but keep in mind that the MORAL damage is already done and with future ARC related compensation/ punitive damages to be expected, the snowball effect will probably accumulate!

Awaiting future developments, it will be my pleasure to inform individual jw's about what actually happens with some of their donations.

be very careful who you "friend" on facebook.people are facing judicial hearings for things they have posted online.so unless you are a real goody two shoes, be careful who you friend and beware of entrapment conversations designed to have you reveal your personal habits or even opinions.happy hollidays.

No JW's as FB friends and a slightly different name can do miracles. You can never be safe 100% but it worked for me although I've been posting tons of "worldly" stuff and "demonic" music for years now. No problemo but I'll have to admit that I don't even friend or accept JW's that I trust and who know that I'm 100% done with the WT lies and false doctrines. I know their mind is willing but the flesh is weak, right? (and that also includes the flesh of their FB friends)

Jehovah uses the government to discipline his people

i had a conversation with my dad concerning the legal cases the jws are loosing and how their policies are still lacking.

he answered that he has confidence that jehovah will give his people the wisdom and discernment necessary to make the changes.

i then explained that most of the improvements were made as a result of various court cases, including the australian commission.. my dad: well, than, jehovah uses the governments to discipline his people just like he did with the jews.

I've experienced similar and other JW claims myself during my fade. Anytime a JW refers to the OT in order to find support for certain organisational policies/decisions he/she seems to ignore the fact that the 1500y Jewish experiment was doomed to fail for a reason and finally replaced by a god that couldn't bare the human errors any longer.

But they just always want to be right, right?

a big way jw's are wrong is they do not allow for the human need to specualte on this life ahead.

So great to see how the activists are using the infamous Awake! 1969 article regarding 1975. If I still were a witness, that would certainly draw my attention, especially given the misleading information from that video with the brother. I would simply reason it's either true or a lie...and research it!

Went to a sunday meeting Waterbury, Connecticut, yawnfest x100

well went on a vacation cross country for 10 days to see relatives, and so decided to drop in on my old kingdom hall to get a look at some old friends i haven't seen in more the 27 years.. came in around 1:15 pm middle of the public talk wearing tight fitting jeans and an old sweat shirt, and sat down in front of person i served with as an elder.

the talks was so boring i can't remember a word of it, i can only recall that it was very disjointed with tremendous leaps in logic, so that my mind could not and would not follow the speaker.

watchtower study was a complete brain shrinking repeat of putting on the new personality or something, with the conductor fishing for baby food comments where none of the 3 or 4 young ones gave any comments only the hard core braindead were answering.

The Creation of Jesus

seeing a trinity thread.. can a jw apologist explain what (not who) is jesus?.

prior to the creation of everything 13.7 billion years ago (draw close book), jehovah created jesus as his firstborn, his only-begotten.. there was nothing else - no stars, no dust, no matter - just jehovah - and then, just jehovah and jesus.

so, what was jesus?.
