I want to be a JW but they seem to hate me? Help!
by Alostpuppydog injust going to give a little background about myself and then bring anyone who is reading this up to speed with where i am today:.
growing up in a family that was not aware of jehovah's witnesses at all, as none of my family members have had a run-in with them other than my parents, my entire life has been a mess ever since we met them.
the witnesses first came to my door when i was 12 and my dad started bringing me to meetings and we even lived with a witness family for a month when we were both homeless due to my parent's divorce.

I have noticed too how the JW's are very clique-like. Reminds me of highschool ohh yeaaaaa... But now I can call myself a submarine haha!!! And their love really is conditional. I find it sad and wonder if they even know what true love is. They are the 'truth' right. 😉 It's just sad and I can't understand why in the world you would ever stop loving your child. Like I have seen sooooo many do so to the point of death they still barely make an effort to console their own blood and flesh. ( I don't have any by the way)
But you are right. I should start picking up hobbies again, if I could just conquer this damn depression... Ugh. We will see what happens and time to make some good 'worldly' friends. I am tired of being completely friendless whilst being on the approve/disapprove list of every single JW. It's like being on hold when you call customer service I swear.

Millionaire JW Elder hypocrite?!
by Alostpuppydog inso i know one should remove his own stick from his own eye before ones self judges another, but i noticed something.
it seems that the wealthy witnesses are the elders, the circuit overseers, the governing body... are they really different from any other 'worldly' religions or even organizations?
i mean look at the jewels the friggen pope wears.

See this is what I am saying... Like sure you invest wisely and become wealthy that's fine and all. But when you start making yourself out to be Mighty Men and you then look down upon those with less and say they are less God-fearing than I or that you somehow deserve to drive around in a brand new Mercedes Benz while your 'brother' drives a 1980s Geo with 300,000 miles I just find it ludicrous. And no this isn't my situation, but I do see it in the congregation and wonder why this person can't even be let in stage or let alone even hold a mic because he is poorer than dirt. Yet, the rich elder's son could be banging 20 of the sisters for all we know, and nobody would even bat an eye.
I see no difference in the WT society as compared to mainstream 'Christianity'. Their doctrines may be different but they both function the same. Rich>poor. Sounds like the Pharisees in Jesus' day. And he flipped over their money changers that were making the Pharisees rich didn't he?
So if you want to be rich go ahead. It's not my life goal, but if you want to portray you are serving God then modesty is the only thing that makes sense. And if you can't even do your own laundry like the GB members can't because their poop-stained underwear is holier than thou, that's just sad and I feel bad for those that willingly oblige to do so.
One other I would like to mention as far as if I am jealous or not of this rich elder in particular. Umm... his own daughter wants to date me and wants other girls' hands off for when I get baptized (ain't gonna happen, obviously why I am here on this site 😅) but I have absolutely no interest seeing the priveledge she has had growing up with Daddies money and lauding over the congregation with his arrogant smile... Just nope. Not in this lifetime 'sister'.
i do appreciate what you've all said though on this subject, I never thought there were actually people out there that felt similar in the way that I do about the JWs and WTBTS. You guys are too cool to be true. 👌

It seems that the wealthy Witnesses are the elders, the circuit overseers, the governing body... Are they really different from any other 'worldly' religions or even organizations? I mean look at the jewels the friggen pope wears. And the GB, they get first class dining day in and day out and barely pay those that do their laundry and are awstricken just by having seen them. Kinda reminds me of a place called North Korea...
But getting back on track here. I know an elder at the congregation I used to attend, before getting banned and never having been a witness myself but having studied a lot, I find the following very odd about him. He has a house worth at least a million dollars, majorly expensive vehicles, his kids get the best 'worldly' education (isn't that frowned upon???!?!?) and drive around in nothing less than the best. Now if I remember correctly Matthew the tax collecter gave everything he had to the congregation and stopped living a luxurious life. John the Baptist, the most righteous imperfect man to have ever exhisted ate honey and berries and lived in the wilderness hated by the wealthy Pharisees. Then there is Jesus, God's only begotten son who never even owned his own house and slept outside and had next to nothing extravagant but the basics to live on during his preaching. And we are supposed to follow these God-like mortals that have literally no extra contact with the Ancient of days? I mean sure there was King David, Joseph, and Moses who lived in wealth for a time. But they all lived under the Law of their time, before Jesus came, and it was a totally different time period. I guess all I am saying is 1John 2:15, James 2:5, Matthew 6:24, 1John 3:17...must I really go on.
If anyone has anything to add or to say feel free to comment but beware! I will read your comment. c:

Anyone got an answer to a curious puppy dog like me? 🙄

if people get left behind be careful
by pepperheart inin this world there are becoming two sorts of people the ones with stupid amounts of money and the ones with very little money and the people in charge are going to get even more shocks if they dont share the money out in a more fair way.ive seen in the press that obama will be getting a house that costs over $4 million dollars and how many people are having to live on basic wage.there is plenty of money going around its just not shared out enough, rather than a lottery giving out a prize of $50 or $100 million dollars just think how many people would be blessed if that was dividid in $50,000 prizes and there would be more chances to win as well.some people have to work for a whole year or even two to get that amount of money .

Here's my idea. I have spent most my days studying politics. How about instead of a minimum wage, we have a maximum wage. (Or both) Make it so nobody can make more than $250/hr being people like world leaders and doctors etc. And then remove 80-90% of the federal gov't from the land (I live in the US 🤓), eliminate all monoploies i.e. Walmarts and their copy cats, have local stores and Mom and pop shops boom again and remove the continued slavery of factory cities and piss poor jobs that literally require 117hrs/week to be worked to afford a 2 bedroom apartment. Kind of makes Hitler look good considering he allocated the 40hr work week. But just saying! 😎

Just curious about how faithful women are these days. Anybody know?
by Alostpuppydog inso being someone who is not, however still believes around 70% of what the jw's talk about as far as the bible goes, ignoring the fact of no blood transfusions, shunning, etc.
wt doctrines, i got this question.
anybody really know how faithful 'worldly' (i use this term lightly 😉) women are these days?

Anybody really know how faithful 'Worldly' (I use this term lightly 😉) women are these days? I mean to be honest I have dated 2 in my past and am mid-college aged, and haven't looked in awhile. Just kind of curious what you guys or even girls have noticed. Because we all know divorce is super prevalent these days and there are ALOT of 'hohos' out there.
Just curious as to what you may have seen/experienced and whether or not you would say remaining single for the rest of your life is a better option. 🤔🤔

To be honest you know it makes no sense that the Witnesses are so pro-Hillary when Trump would be far better off for them. Basically it was either electing a war monger (Hillary) or a slave driver (Trump). Not an easy one and I didn't vote because I like neither. But could someone really be worse than the Bush and Obama over the last 16 years and the trillions in debt we have? I guess we will see but whatever lol.

I guess also, does anyone have any advice for building my relationship with my father who is an unbaptized publisher and is 'currently praying to Jehovah' and I am sure talking with the witnesses as to whether or not he is going to kick me out?
