Bethel definitely make a profit. They are not doing it to help anyone they are doing it for financial gain.
The hotels they want you to pay for are more expensive and further away. They are making it more difficult

The Hotels were right when they said they feel that delegates will book the hotel regardless.
That is exactly what has happened.
This is a classic example of the sea change that rank and file are slowly becoming JWlite and ignoring direction if they don’t agree

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
As a committee we send you our warm greetings as we look forward to the ‘Declare the Good News’ Regional Convention in 2024. More information will follow in the coming months, but in the meantime we wish to draw your attention to the following.
As in previous years, the branch has negotiated competitive rates at many of the hotels for the convention weekends. Unfortunately, the onsite hotels are unwilling to negotiate and offer competitive rates as they believe that delegates will book the hotel regardless.
Therefore, please support these arrangements by only selecting hotels recommended from the approved hotels listed. This will strengthen the negotiating power of the organisation for future conventions.
May we take this opportunity to thank you all for your cooperation.

No Zombie that is happening to an extent with JWlite. We are making our own religion and can still use all the infrastructure already in place.
Ignore all the GB and their helpers and make your own mind up. Just be subtle about it.
Im sitting in my lawn chair watching the org crumble and it’s going to be better having ring side seats. That’s why I’m staying physically in to an extent but it’s pretty obvious to anyone that I’m mentally questioning or mentally out.
Im the perfect example of a Jwlitalite. I even say it to peoples faces that I think the GB may be wrong about the vaccine and many other things including 1914. In the past PIMOs would have been to scared to voice this out loud but things have changed to such an extent these days.
Forget bethelites, young ones should want to be JWlitelites when they grow up!!!
There are many many who ignore the shunning direction and have family and friends association who the GB say should be shunned.
So if they relax it they will find many have been doing the new relaxed way anyway. This is happening all the time now, look at all the brothers with beards already. It’s like the GB are trying to catch up and pretend they thought of it first.
Same with not shunning anymore, loads are doing it anyway and soon the GB will try to catch up with Jehovah’s chariot and come and say you don’t need to shun anymore. Then Steve will come and and tell everybody how they should feel, “some may be feeling vindicated as you have been doing this all along” is that correct? “Not really”
this is exactly what happened with beards

I’m going this year just to see how many beards there will be.
But actually it’s really great to catch up with old friends. I don’t spend that much time sitting listening to the program
it’s interesting asking a few key questions to get an idea who is on the way to being PIMQ or who is already way past it and now PIMO

Message to those in Bethel service desk lurking on here.
The reinstatement process needs to be made easier.
Its too long and too difficult and the elders have too much power.
An easy solution to stem the bleeding and have a little blood transfusion (excuse the illustration) is to have it easy for someone to return. All they need to say is that they are sorry and that is enough, don’t have elder’s decided if they are really sorry or not.
This same new light should apply before someone is announced as disfellowshiped, if they say they are sorry that is enough. Don’t give power to elders to decide if they are genuine or not.
I remember stories of Elders where power went to their head and asked different ones to jump through hoops to show they were really sorry. Giving up jobs, moving to other areas or travelling far to old congregations for several months sitting at the back not being allowed to talk to anyone. This was a power trip for the elders. This madness needs to stop.
One sister I know was so finding it hard being shunned by family and friends she said I will do whatever it takes to be reinstated. She had to travel a long way after work to this other congregation where she was dissed. Even then it took about a year of sitting at the back not talking to anyone and feeling shame and made to feel dirty and unvalued.
No wonder there is such a high case of suicide. No wonder the recent changes in the Elders book not to diss someone if they may be suicidal.
Next change should be so simple, if they say they are sorry that is enough. Either before or after dissed. This should stem the bleeding and put a bit of blood back in.

He lives in a country that he never bothered to learn the language after a decade and a half, he is not going to be able to get a job there. Why is not putting any effort into his channel apart from half hearted seldom videos
