  Will New Rules Bring JWs Together or Pull Them Apart?

  there's been a lot of discussion about the changes in the org.

  you might think all this would shake things up, especially for the older or super dedicated jws.

  but remember when gb decided all the khs and the bank accounts needed to be transferred/managed from the top?

  The changes can be summed up in two words- soft touch. Humans have a tendency to go a little beyond sometimes. If someone goes a little beyond these days it will be a soft touch approach.

  Soft touch with what you decide to wear. Beards and hairstyles tend to go along with that, it’s not often talked about but JWs will have a soft touch with hairstyles from now on as well.

  soft touch when it comes to clothing.

  People can just wear whatever they were wearing that day in work or school or whatever. As long as not too casual.

  Soft touch in getting DFed in the first place, it’s a lot less likely to happen and even if it does happen it’s only for 90 days then easy to get reinstated. During that 90 days people will still talk to you anyway. This is so incredibly soft touch when you really think about it.

  so definitely soft touch describes the changes.

  there is no more fear of being shunned like there used to be.

  if you have a meeting with a few elders and they decide you will be DFed then you can ask for an appeal committee. If you tell them you are repentant and won’t do it again they can overturn the original decision.

  So it seems to me it’s very unlikely anyone will be DFed ever again. And in the worst case it does happen it’s only for 90days. There is no need to ask to be reinstated the elders will chase you and try to talk you into agreeing to be reinstated.

  New light on shunning?

  one theory why tony was booted out was because he was a stickler for not changing the shunning doctrine.

  he actually said the words we will never ever change it.. they are slowly deleting all of tony’s videos and now losing court cases and losing government hand outs in places like norway.. it’s looking very likely they will release new light on shunning policy after losing this latest one in norway.. .

  what are the odds they coincidentally get new light from jehovah and lighten up their shunning policy ?.

  has anyone else caught this tidbit in the new s-395 instructions?:.

  "if the individual is not an apostate or actively promoting wrongdoing, they will also inform him that they would like to meet with him again in three months to determine if he has had a change of heart.

  in some cases, but not all, the committee may determine that there is basis for reinstating the individual at that time".

  It sounds like they are doing everything they can to stop anyone ever getting df’ed.

  wait 90 days and talk them into just saying they are repentant then almost zero df’ed from now on

  We will see if Ted Jarez was on there, if so that will be the end the tower will fall

  1975 was a joke 40 years ago.

  i know of many witnesses still hanging on for armagedon but when will they give up?

  The Wt went from saying before 1914 that Christs return was near to: Christ returned INVISIBLY in 1914

  Now they say Jesus was enthroned in 1914 but they are not sure if he has actually sat on his throne.

  They will have to release new light on this soon as we are getting too far from 1914?

  They have definitely reached and past the jump the shark moment and it hasn’t worked.

  new light on beards, easier to survive Armageddon, no more reporting hours. All this and more was the desperation attempt to revamp the religion just like the jump the shark was a desperate attempt to save the show.

  now it seems hardly any kids are even getting baptised these days. It seems they have to get them pre teen to be unbaptised publishers and then get them baptised before they have the mental capacity to think for themselves

  If kids get old enough past a certain point then they won’t want to get baptised

  this is happening and it’s great to see

  In this series of videos Smurf girl says her family went to Trekkie parties with members of the GB. Tony liked to dress up as captain and she claims to have pictures of Star Trek lap dancing

  lots of COs used to like watching Star Trek in the evenings while being given all the best food and drink.

  because the COs watched it, many others would watch it as an example of suitable entertainment and would talk of in the new world jehovah may let us explore other planets. How else could humanity keep having kids living forever and not be overcrowded?

  the illustration about going along with it even though you know it’s not true is very fitting and yes the Borg is very apt
