  back in the day, russell and rutherford would hold debates with other religious leaders.

  why has jehovah's witnesses stopped doing that?

  i think it would be very interesting to see how they would hold up on a debate now.

  John Ankerberg had two JW elders on in the 80s who he debated. They did not do very well. Just like when Jackson got hammered on the Aus. commission. All he could do is look stupid.

  i called a jehovah's witness friend of mine a couple weeks ago, yes i still consider him a friend though he would not say the same of me.

  i've known him for almost 40 years.

  our families went on many vacations together including my only trip back to bethel in 1996. this trip was made with 40 other "brothers and sisters.

  i thinks so.. not only jws have hate the catholic church.

  i see it as a world wide thing.

  many hate the catholic church with out even truly looking into it for themselves, but rather form their opinion based on other peoples directions.. what say you?.

  the media is very powerful.

  many news people just want to get a scoop even if their breaking story isn’t checked out for accuracy.

  some journalists are precise and double check whatever they are reporting.

  The 80s was the last great decade of music. It started to go to hell when rap took off. Which is not music. Its talking in cadence in an angry tone. Its not real artistic anything. Now look at all the movies using 70s and 80s music due to there being so little that has come out in the past years that is worth a flip.

  The only time when I was a Dubber that I really thought they may actually be right was in the early 90s. It was indeed a strange time. The wall came down, Germany ran to reunify like a freight train, the USSR collapsed, and the satellite countries under the USSR went to democracy. But this lasted for a few years and I could see it was much ado about nothing.
