Why would someone want to do that? I have heard of people just attending meeting and resuming the JW lifestyle after moving and just not informing their new congregation about their old congregation. I know of people that have moved BEFORE getting DF'd and attended meetings not worrying about what happened before. I believe if you are not a member of the congregation then they can't disfellowship you. They wouldn't be able to fill out the form properly if they don't know your baptism date (perhaps i am wrong about that)

Has Anyone Ever Been DF'd, Moved and Then Just Started Over Again ???
by RubaDub ini know that people jump through all sorts of hoops to get reinstated, typically for family reasons.. if you happened to move to a different area, wouldn't it just be easier to accept some literature, study, get love-bombed, etc.
you could then switch congregations and fade and not have the df status anymore.. am i smoking something ?
i can't believe this has not been done before ?.

What if you simply IGNORED being disfellowshipped and continued as before?
by Terry ini know this is an odd idea.
maybe it is even silly.. but, i do daydream..... .
what if you were informed that you are disfellowshipped and you flashed a huge smile and said, "nah.".

People are often confused when you attend meetings while disfellowshipped and smile and sing and talk. They are puzzled when your behavior doesn't match what they expect but I don't think it will change how they treat you--at least in public at the Kingdom Hall. Bring some people with you (non-jw) and that causes more confusion for them because it is awkward to talk to them without talking to you.
Even if you are kind and offer a ride to a witness who needs it or shovel their driveway when there is snow, there can be repercussions for the recipient. That creates fear for them and confusion.
As I see it, spending countless hours at the meetings with the hope of helping someone at random realize TTATT is about as effective as spending countless hours in the door-to-door work to convert a complete stranger. -

200 Billion WT Corporation gives all Members Vote, then Distributes all Money to Members
by villagegirl inthe plan: the wt corp turns 200 billion dollar $ assets, property, stock, investment, into cash, then sends a check to every member, men women and baptized children.
these people are 7 million in number and now each get a check for $30,000 x 7 million = $200 billion.
the governing body quietly leaves town.

I thought the actual voting members of the Watchtower Society of Pennsylvania was not more than 500. Then they would get the money and the rest would get nothing. I don't think publishers will ever get anything back.

I have shunned people I never knew and regretted it. When I was a youngster there was a Holocost survivor speaking at my school and I missed a chance to talk to him because I had heard he was disfellowshipped. I wasn't baptized and not even sure where I heard that he was disfellowshipped but I missed out on a chance to meet someone very interesting because I shunned pro-actively.

I never really understand the difference between someone who gets pioneer hours and a pioneer. With the except of the status and required approval of the body of elders, it is just someone doing a certain amount of time in the field ministry. Since an elder or ministerial servent should, by station of their title, already be "exemplary", if they as a regular publisher reach the required hours for an auxiliary pioneer for a particular month shouldn't they be considered an auxiliary pioneer even if it is retroactive? If you think too much about it then you'll realize just what it is--a title which means very little and you can create your own titles to mean whatever you want and apply them to yourself and get as much or even more benefit.

the dumbest thing a CO ever said
by nowwhat? in"if it was'nt for the preaching work there would be millions more witnesses" - he was saying jehovah wants quality not quantity.. si i'm thinking, what's the difference as long as he has a people that live by bible standards and are moral.
maybe sharing their hope and faith with friends and relatives on a casual basis?
how backwards is that?.

One CO said to me "Why don't you quit school, pioneer and become a circuit overseer like me"

Is it ethical to confess extramarital sex to your spouse
by Most Noble indurex's global sex survey has found that 44% of adults worldwide have had one-night extramarital sex and 22% have had an affair.according to a 2004 united states survey, 16% of married partners have had extramarital sex, nearly twice as many men as women, while an additional 30% have fantasized about extramarital sex.
there were also studies that have shown rates of extramarital sex as low as 2.5%.as many authors conclude, these kinds of estimates are probably understated because extramarital sex is commonly disapproved.. .
what do you think is it ethical to confess an extramarital affair?.
-
wisdomfrombelow
If you are man or woman enough to have extra maritial affair then you should be willing to accept the consequences. One night stands don't only have the possibility of death and disease they also can create children. Confession is really hard but not confessing can be much harder.

Contributions For Local KH VS. World Wide Work
by turtleturtle inseriously, if i am going to stay a jw for now, is there anything wrong with donating all for local kindom hall purposes, and simply not donate to the world wide work (wt)?
i mean, won't the local money just go to the kingdom hall expenses (among some other expenses)?
i'm telling you right now, the wt ain't getting my $ until things change!.
-
wisdomfrombelow
I don't think in all my over 25 baptized years as a JW I ever donated a total of $500. The lesson I learned from Ananias and Sapphira is that it is ok to keep your own money and not give it as a donation.

I would have loved to have someone mention at the 1919 convention the Golden Age magazine was introduced and then to highlight some of the information that magazine included. That would be very educational indeed.
