  What is the alternative to JW?

  i mean this with all due respect, i would like to hear from genuine people who think jw have it wrong and then what is the truth?.

  im not talking about silly little quibbles here and there.. is jehovah real?

  The only conceivable alternative for many ex JW's wanting to remain Christian is simply to go to Jesus. There is a true church alright but it is a Church Without Walls. You will not find the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help us God in any man made religion or organisation but we will find sincere people in all Christian denominations who are also seeking the Lord. I personally believe Jesus alone is the way, the truth and the life and no one can come to the Father except through him and not any man made religion or Christ Monger. I find this rule of thumb to be very wise indeed and something to keep in mind when considering the vast array of different christian belief systems. In essential things, unity; in non-essential things, liberty; in all things, love. Seek out those who love Jesus as where two or three are gathered in his name, there he will be also. May we all find peace and enlightenment on whatever path we decide to go remembering that God is a God of Love and not a God of condemnation as they would have us believe and is greater than all our fears combined.

  
  

  So Jesus is happy with many individuals just doing their own thing? Mmmm maybe, but then how can you recognise his true followers, by those who have love amungst themselves.

  
  

  Do al these people in the church without walls even know each other let alone have the love that Jesus was talking about?

  Who was it that said the Mormans are the next closest to the truth?

  Yes I think this is probably true. No other religion fullfills Jesus command to preach to all the nations.

  But the Mormons believe that they are decended from aliens and they will all be Gods over humans. I dont know about you, but it doesnt have the ring of truth to it in my eyes.

  The truth from the JW org, does have the ring of truth to it.

  So if not the Mormons, who else is nearer to the truth from the bible? There must be some other religion that ticks most of the boxes?

  There is definaitely some underground project that is being kept secret.

  I wonder will we ever be able to find out what the truth is.

  Does anybody here live near there? Be great to do a fly over with a drone before they put the cap on the underground project.

  this article suggests that there are projects being halted, but chelmsford isn't one of them.

  can someone from the uk tell me if this article was written by a reputable and known publisher?

  Whatever the secret underground project is, they are going to extraordinary measures to keep it quiet.

  Nobody is allowed anywhere near to the centre point where the earth movers are, maybe they will cap it all off with a secret entrance before work resumes on the rest of the project?

  I think its a BATCAVE? Ooo I wonder if there is a secret entrance for the Batmobile?

  i haven't seen this mentioned yet.

  last year in the uk, shortly after the money grab that everyone had, we had a video and letter (both probably still available from atlantis) appealing for money for the new bethel and slips were handed out etc.

  this means that most uk congregations are sending a regular donation specifically for the chelmsford build.

  its going to be a real beautiful place when its finished.. they are going for quality over quantity.

  it used to be accommodation for a few thousand permanent residents, now its looking like less than a thousand permanent with the possibility of a few thousand more in temporary accommodation should the need arise.. some say the plans are going to be like a garden of eden in england :) i mean they had farming in london over the years but this is going to be epic what they are planning for temple farm at chelmsford.. they are planting thousands (literally) of fruit trees, including tropical fruits in huge green houses, huge vines yards and then the same basic farming activities as before.

  • Speaking to someone over the weekend who was on site just last week pretty much everyone has been sent home now. Just a skeleton crew there now.

    They have been doing works for access roads etc on site, tree clearing and other similar activities.

    There is nothing being built at the moment, nothing going up above ground. All of that is awaiting modified plans as they reduce the size of the build.

  • Can you ask him how many hectares the new site is? It was 88 or something then they bought hundreds more, but that new extra land was bought before the big changes were announced.

  Here are my thoughts.

  Accommodation. You are very wrong what you posted there. Of course its preferable to live with other witnesses, but its not always possible. Its very misleading like most of what you posted.

  Its a very good suggestion not to be alone with a member of the opposite sex unless they are a close relation. This is why the JW org has the least number of immorality. When I was in Bethel the suggestion was if you are in a room with a member of the opposite sex then just leave the door open, and not the closet door LOL!

  You make it sound like a very bad restrictive rule, but anybody with half a brain can see it makes sense.

  APOSTASY

  RULES ONE SHOULD FOLLOW

  You should accept the definition of apostates as defined by Jehovah’s Witnesses’ literature.

  You should accept that apostates are mentally diseased.

  You should loathe and hate apostates.

  You should believe that baptized members who disassociate from the religion are to be regarded as the “anti-christ”.

  All not true, absolute hogwash. Mentaly diseased, anti-christ? give me break, where do you make this stuff up from.

  BAPTISM

  RULES ONE SHOULD FOLLOW

  Observers of the baptism should listen attentively to the baptismal discourse. You shall dress in a modest bathing suit for your baptism.

  
  

  OK you are right about this, shocking isnt it, they are encouraged to listen to this important talk, and wear modest bathing suits, oh my word.

  BIBLE

  RULES ONE SHOULD FOLLOW

  You should accept that the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures (NWT) is the most accurate bible.

  You should accept that the entire Protestant canon of scripture is the only accurate compilation of bible books.

  You should not believe that the bible supports the idea of unicorns as renowned in legend.

  You should meditate on what you read in the bible.

  You should read the bible daily.

  RULES ONE SHALL FOLLOW

  You shall accept that any books that may be contained in other bibles, but which are not found in the NWT’s canon, are false. Compare Joshua 10:13 & Numbers 21;14.

  You shall believe that the Bible is God’s word.

  You shall believe that the bible is historically accurate.

  You shall believe that the bible is scientifically sound.

  You shall accept that 29 C.E. is a pivotal date in biblical chronology.

  You shall believe that the Law Covenant ended and the New Covenant began at Pentecost 33 C.E.

Anyway all the other things are upto the individual, you either believe the Bible or not, if not then leave the truth, if you believe the bible then yes read it everyday, its Gods word.

  BLOOD & MEDICINE

  You should weigh the risk/benefit ratio when considering any medical treatment? Sounds like sound thinking ability to me, what your problem with this?

  There is no doubt that JWs are correct about this. The sons of God are most certainly angels, they created bodies for themselves to have sex with pretty women on earth. The bible is very clear about this in a few places. They forsake their heavenly position to have sex with the women on earth.
