  OK My turn to be down in the dumps

  well i had a lot of good news like no cancer and that was great.

  i am healing well from the surgery.. i finally got my wheelchair and that has allowed me a bit more freedom.

  but winter is coming and the wheelchair won't be very useful.. the orthotics.

  just wondering why you choose not to use too many identifying facts about yourself on the boards?

  is it to protect yourself, or others?.

  for me, i have nothing to lose where the dubs are concerned, and initially my profile was pretty extensive.

  i'm reading a fascinating book, god's best seller, by brian moynahan.

  in it he documents how a few men like wycliff and tyndale risked their lives to make the bible available to the common people.

  the catholic church violently opposed these efforts and persecuted all who were involved in the translating, publishing and distributing the scriptures.

  for that explanation,but, my comment was in gust...a joke. As in the acts of religious organizations is in itself an act of apostasy. Which in turn would more or less automatically remove the act of apostasy from the apostate since apostate b would not be apostate if not for the apostasy of apostate a. However, since it is not uncommon for my dark or ?left? sided humor to do a fly by around the board I might start explaining it for a while.

  Would You Correct Misinformation About JW's?

  if someone spoke about how witnesses don't accept medical treatment or do not believe in doctors, would you correct those comments?

  if someone posted that jw's are just av bunch of child molesters, would you feel impelled to clarify the statement?

  One of the best ways to loose your credibility is to NOT correct something that is wrong because people will think about you when they learn what the truth is.

  That is so true and a very good point. I know how I feel if I learned something was misrepresented to me and another knew better but did not feel inclined to tell me. I wouldn't ask for that persons opinion on much after that.

  It is autocratic religion that makes "apostasy" necessary.
