  It's just around the corner. All religion outlawed then the end will come. No wait, we'll live in prosperity for 7 years after religion is banned.Then the end will come. New old light.   Gas price oddity in the USA

  anyone have any ideas why a historically cheaper gas state such as utah is still maintaining high prices?

  notice the remarkable dividing line between the midwest and the west?.

  Don't know but I drive 12 miles now to save 46cents per gallon. There is one station 40 miles away that still charges 3.25 per gallon compared to 2.43 per gallon 12 miles away. Down the road it is still 2.89 per gallon. This makes a big difference for me as my van only gets 13 miles per gallon and holds 40 gallons. OUCH

  i haven't been to meetings in a long time (trying to fade).

  ever so often i do run into a witness or 2 who are friendly, but reserved (after all i am considered in active).

  anyway, my hubby & i are currently working on a letter to send to the society that will more then likely get us df'd or disassociated (same thing i guess).

  many on this site have describe their exiting this group as "fading".

  which i believe allows one to maintain some civil contact and or association with friends and family.

  it probably helps when running into jw's in ones normal routine of life.

  Not as often anymore but I did get invited by the PO, who called on me last week, to attend the meeting because the CO is visiting. I was asked to put asside my differences and focus on the greater picture in store.

  it broke my heart to read about someone having to paying court fee's after wining a sexual abuse case against the wtbts.

  she ended up winning 5,000 dollars but has to pay 220000 dollars in court feee to wtbts and for her lawyer.

  So who was at fault for her feeling as though she had no other choice? Call me dense if you like I don?t care but of all the statements made in that court report that statement alone only shows how contradictory the real jw world is compared to what ever the written rules were that the Judge might have read. Why wouldn?t a Judge acknowledge that? They just blamed 1 elder?

  3rdw: I have never found any instructions from the WTS to the elders telling them to discourage individuals from going to the police about child abuse. Have you? Then please bring it forward.
