  this is the new book edited by edmund gruss.

  i just finished reading it and must say a one word description would be "disturbing".

  the book focuses of course on the characters and motivations of the first four presidents of the watchtower society.

  In the 20 odd congregations I have had contact with in the last 3 or 4 years, the money situation has been bleak, donations at the hall to the WTS have been dropping, and many find it hard to pay their utilities.

  I seriously doubt that the WTS makes much money, if anything at all, on literature. If it serves any dollar purpose at all it is probably a tax shelter. Face it, even with free labor and feeding everyone only bread and water on the asembly line, there still couldn?t possibly be a profit made after the sale of a few million 25-cent mags and $2.00 bibles. They have to be in the red with regard to literature, which should be simple enough to figure out.

  They make all their money from investments stocks and real estate and from BIG independant donations.

  i went to the library and pick up this book which is a translation of some of meister eckhart's sermons.

  creatures cannot enter the soul, nor can the soul know anything about a creature whose image she has not willingly taken into herself.

  now god needs no image and has no image: without image, likeness, or means does god work in the soul, in her ground wherein no image ever entered other than himself with his own essence.

  There was no new intelligence. The intelligence hadn't given any reason to go to war for years and suddenly, when Bush got into office, it seems that it did.

  I'm sorry Simon but you are incorrect about that.

  For a long long time a lot of people were sick and tired of nothing being done about the threats from the middle east and were eager to get Bush in office for that very reason in hopes that he would be a ...man of action persa' and were happy that he has proven to be just that. I do not agree with war and I really did not want Bush in office because frankly?he frightened me. But I am not in a position to go over there and personally save all those children and families from being tortured by those animals, nor can I personally keep those animals from invading my country and killing my friends and family, so I have to rely on the Government that is voted into and appointed to make the decisions.

  When the day comes that I can fly around the world in my invisible plane like "Wonder Woman" and beat up all the bad people, then I will truly be in a position to tell the military to retire, they are no longer needed there will be no more wars. Until that day gets here I'm not dumb enough to think I know more then they do when it comes to protecting as many of us as humanly possible in the best way possible with what ever tools they have to work with.

  We may not be perfect but at least for the time being, we (you and I) are not as vulnerable to horrific forms of abuse and cruelty at the hands of a mad man as the citizens of Iraq have been, and I am damn proud of it.

  You should be thankful that your children are not living under such a dictatorship Where at any day or time they could be taken away from you while you stand helpless and have to watch them be raped and tortured the way too many families have.

  The only SURE THING in politics is both the winners and losers all get to go on a mud ride.

  I think Bush just screwed up with regards to WMD and was going on the information that was given to him BECAUSE that is the only way it could have possibly went down UNLESS he was doing all the investigations himself while running for president. LOL! taking no one elses word for anything.

  I did not vote for Bush and I don't think I want to vote this year at all because I don't like any of them.

  not surprising therfore that the tetragramaton should be found in the sun on this pic.

  im not sure if anyone remembers me, but i used to post her until january of 2003. the last time i wrote here i mentioned that i was leaving las vegas and movie back to houston.

  well i was very depressed and i promised myself that i would not write here again until i felt my life was better.

  i have to say that this past year has been good.
