If they were caught without it they were deported to some middle of nowhere hellhole camp and beaten and starved.
Thank God It isn't like that anymore!
one of the questions in the uk at the moment is whether we shoudl have identity cards or not.. the government, who wants them, claims they will "help to prevent terrorism".
spain and the usa both have identity cards and they have had big terrorist attacks.
it's never been explained exactly how they will stop terrorists.. my personal opinion is that they are just another government play to control people, another form of tax (you can bet it will cost us to get them) and i have my doubts as to whether the government could run a large scale it project of that magnitude (given it's track record) and whether the estimated 3bn won't end up many years late and at least 10bn over-budget.

But seriously (hope I added enough vowels) for those of you that are extremely concerned about the cards, I am wondering how much of that worry can be attributed to all the crap from years of being told as jws we would all be marked by the government one day and it would also mark the beginning of the great T???
Do they still preach that or have they given up and found had new light about the identification thing?
Isn?t it possible that somewhere in the back of your mind that still lurks causing ?more? then normal uneasiness about carrying cards?
is he/she "real"?
are you now unsure of "god's" existence?
do you ever pray to "god", anymore??

face it we're all going to be stamped on our foreheads with the mark of the beast when the cards are abolished anyway so don't sweat it.

"The Pianist" was on last night. I watched it for the first time. I must say it left me feeling like I should prick my finger with a stick-pin and squeeze out what little German blood I have in me. However my great grandfather was!! a decent man. But knowing how thousands behaved while under Hitler is embarrassing to the human race.
