New explanation of Gog of Magog: Two Gogs?
by leaving_quietly ini just finished watching the recording of the talk at the annual meeting that re-explains gog of magog.
i caught something not previously talked about, that i can recall.. gog of magog is thought to be a coalition of nations that attach god's people during the great tribulation.
this is from ezekiel 38 & 39.. gog and magog in revelation 20 represents those with the same attitude as gog of magog.. thus, the new teaching (maybe not new, but i'll have to research this) is that gog in ezekiel is not the same as gog in revelation 20. two different gogs, happening about a thousand years apart.. .

As I understand it the 1st Gog of Magog are the present day nations who will go against God's people during the GT, and after the 1,000 yrs when Satan is let out of his cage to wreak havoc on the earth once more, Satan will mislead many and those rebel's will be the 2nd Gog of Magog.... see, easy peasy.
That new Lite fabrication is just as adsurd as the 1600 furlongs explanation, also the 7 trumpet blasts, the 2 horned wild beast, the false profit, locusts, the overlappers.... etc etc etc... What a Load of....
They're really good at spinning yarns...

I think a more honest letter should read like this.
Dear Brothers,
As you know we love our brothers so much that we are willing to extend the privilege of working at the new world Headquarters bethel project to all brothers and sisters. We need help to increase our portfolio so we require free labor for our latest real estate investment. Never mind that we've sold off 2 billion $ worth of property in New York and Around the world. We needed those monies to invest in hedge funds, more properties, stocks bonds, and of course pedo law suit settlements. To please donate your precious time and resources for this project. The GB will be great full for your support and may even allow you to kiss their pinky ring. As you know Armageddon is just around the corner and we need to increase our corporate net worth to prepare for that.

Ps: you need to have some trade skills and sign a waiver that if anything happens to you, it's your problem! You'll even have to pay for the bus/plane fair home yourself. This weeks #2 & #3 talk on homosexuality
by granada35 inafter a one year sucessful fade and no longer associated with any congreation, i was visiting my sister this week (who goes to the meeting to please her husband for now; i am slowly planting seeds though) and they decided to year this weeks midweek meeting via the telephone.
since i was a guest in her house, i sat with them in the living room to hear the meeting.
to my surprise (especially growing up as a gay jw with still alot of anger in my heart over how i was treated), the talks 2 and 3 where on, of course, homosexualiy.

I had a long discussion with an ex elder friend of mine who insisted gays are not born that way but just prefer that lifestyle because they have a rebellious heart. And of course they will be destroyed in A. I was arguing with him for over an hour about it. There is no getting through to those who are ignorant pig headed brainwashed people.

Letts shows up noo "generation" teaching

"you are the next generation of " adult witnesses.
this one sentence using generation in the normal way, at a stroke, shows they just made up the overlapping teaching to get themselves out of a hole.. .

Does the generation teaching really need to make sense when you have KH sing alongs to worldly music, and all other kinds of distractions? Logic and common sense don't really mix with religious cults.
