I was thrilled to hear of the rulings handed down at Penn State. Although they did not receive the official "Death Sentence" it was pretty impressive. Now comes the question. Will this have any affect on the many pedophile cases within the WTBTS. Thoughts??? A pal here on JWN and I have discussed this and sadly I have to agree that maybe the WTBTS is just too "small potatoes". What do you all think?? HB

Mentally fading was a snap. I was 20 when 1975 flopped so my attitude was pretty set that "this is a bunch of crap".
Actually doing it was a little longer process. After my divorce from my ex (now Br. C O) and moving back to my home town there was a real push to get me back in the fold and right. Did attend some meeting, FS, but soon just kept missing more and more. My Mom was still alive and all though she did not hassle me I did go to the district conventions with her and the memorial. After she died 11 years ago I was on the fast track out. Packed up all the literature and dropped them off at a KH about 50 miles from my home.
I also decided to do some fun things for ME!!! New Harley, tatoo's, crazy fun hair style and clothes, got involved in politics and in general became normal.
I like the new me. My hubby is thrilled and I sleep like a baby at night

This is great Pontoon good idea. We are in Colorado. Fantastic riding state. Can ride all day and be in the farmland, foothills and high peaks and never leave the state. Now for you more artsy readers. Need to design a rocker, and name for a club. Maybe a 1% er "Free Bikers" Internation no symbol JW. Ideas???

Would it just be a hoot to start an EX JW'ed bike club. Come up with some names!! This can be fun. WE have to have a rocker (ie logo) How about a motoo? A picture of a logo. Let's exercise those creative juices.

Blondie: Thank you so much for your awesome input. I just read both study articles and am so mad I could eat nails. As a born in JW I watched my poor Mother put up with 51 years of marriage to the asshole (aka My Father) She was failthful to the end until she died 11 years ago. My father was physically, emotionally and sprirtually abusive. If she were alive today she would drop right through the floor. I too married an abusive "brother" and put up with his crap for 6 years until I said enought and left. I got PR'ed he went on to be a CO. If ever there was a perfect example of how utterly sick this religion is this aritcle is it. Gawd I am sooooooo glad to be out.

STOP MAKING CRAP UP!
by Sheep2slaughter ini had to start this thread in light of today's watchtower study.
in paragraph 14,15 they mention the grounds for separation.
no scriptures are sighted but i am well aware of the support they usually use.. i am so sick of the watchtower making crap up!

wokeup: good questions. You know that if I were still married to the same asshole that I was (now mr. CO) and brought up his physical abuse. ( Lots of hits, slaps, kicks. ) or, as I did, bring up the issue of spiritual endangerment, not a damn things would be done now as was nothing done then. The mind set is to blame the victum. This is the WTBTS lame way to appear as caring when in fact it is to keep the elders busy with committee meetings.
