  Holy crap!!! A friend from Alamaba just called me to tell me about this. WOW! It is about time. I too have been molested by my biological father who is still in good standing. I was told to not say one word about it from my Mother. I know of a young sister (age 16) who was raped and got pregnant by her bio father. He is now in good standing. She on the other hand is a complete mess. How in the hell can the WTBTS allow these monsters to go untouched. Going in Field Service. Would you want such a sick o come to your door and have your 9 year old answer the door? Would you want your child in the same car group or a bible study. This organization has no conscience, no morals, no regard for anyone or anything except their image and MONEY!!! Hope this bankrupts the bastards

  Thank you all for your loving advise. Fortunately my Father is pretty much out of it so does not even get it that I am not involved. Fortunately I do not have kids and my husband is not a JW so really my not being "in" has not affected on our marriage. I think the advise of holding off until my father passes is good advise. I also appreciate the advise to not play by "their" rules. It's sort of like the " I won't quit, you have to fire me" Interestingly is that my life style other than not attending meetings and going in "servce" is pretty straight laced. Short of maybe riding a Harley and having a few decreatly placed tatoo's. ( oh you wicked girl you) But I also know that if they have half a mind they will dig up whatever. I think I will keep flying under the radar for now. Thanks again Harley Bear

  Hi all: I really need your advise and imput. I am a born in. Have been a fader for over 20 years. After my Mom died I inherited my father who is so in the box. Even though very old and feeble he still hangs on the the "new system". I guess at his age I would too. At any rate I feel that I need to break free but do feel I should wait while my father is alive. My thought is that once he is gone that I want to move on with my life and formally remove myself from the JW's. I will not do this prior to my father death for various reasons but feel very strongly that I need to cut the tie when he is gone. So many of my reasons for leaving the "church"has been surronded by my family dynamics. I have received numerous inputs from friends and family. Some Pro some Con. I would like to hear your input. Thank You

  a controversial coney island principal has pulled the plug on patriotism.. her refusal to let students sing god bless the usa at their graduation has sparked fireworks at a school filled with proud immigrants.. greta hawkins, principal of ps 90, the edna cohen school, wont allow kindergartners to belt out the beloved lee greenwood ballad, also known as proud to be an american, at their moving-up ceremony.. context: middle correlation photo five classes spent months learning the patriotic song, which skyrocketed in popularity after the 9/11 attacks and the 2003 invasion of iraq.it was to be the rousing finale of their musical show at the june 20 commencement.

  the kids, dressed up for their big day, would wave tiny american flags which, as the lyrics proclaim, still stand for freedom.. but hawkins marched in on a recent rehearsal and ordered a cd playing the anthem to be shut off, staffers said.. she told the teachers to drop the song from the program.. we dont want to offend other cultures, they quoted her as explaining.. the curt edict stunned both staff and parents.. a lot of people fought to move to america to live freely, so that song should be sung with a whole lot of pride, said mom luz lozada, whose son, daniel, is in kindergarten.. the song has been sung at previous school events.

  last years fifth-graders, including another lozada child, performed it at graduation.. everybody applauded and whistled, the mom said.

  She is proof positive that women should be a servent in the dubbbbbbb 's she fits right in. Buly, Racist, narrow minded etc etc etc. Do you think there will be any judical action HELL no! If she is canned she will be an elevated member in the fold. A goddess. Barf this makes me sick

  I was so lacking in self esteem that I married the first "brother" who even gave me the time of day. What it did do was eventually made me fearless. I had the balls to leave that jerk, kick my hypocrite father to the curb, and take a stand that the "?????truth?????" was a bunch of crap. I have been told by many that I have outstanding social skill now. Does not matter if I am hanging out in a stable of horses or a presidential dinner. (and I have done both) I can hang. Maybe being so beat down has given me the tools to over exceed. I am as comfortable in a Vera Wang gown as I am in my Harley jacket. I would say that life makes you tough, but also make you real. And real is after all what it really is all about.

  What was the best thing the WT did [for you]?

  for me it was putting in the fm at the assemblies, now i could listen to interesting things like the cricket, footy, fishing, news, even music [if i kept the volume down] without looking suspicious, instead of all that..... sure you know the story.

  I made it!! I'm just so freaking happy!!!

  as some of you know, i started college 5 years ago for the first time at age 27. i had been out of the "truth" for 9 years at that time, but had just broken free of the mentality.

  well, on saturday i walked across the stage with the 130th graduating class at rocky mountain college!.

  after 5 years of working several jobs, taking care of two little boys as a single mom, and trying to get the most out of my college experience, i earned my master of accountancy, bachelor of science in business management, and minors in writing and organizational leadership.

  before i could start moving engine a jw pulled his car in behind mine then got out and walked up to my window.

  he then said "you must be brother <biometrics>", i said "i'm <biometrics>" then looked at him as if to say "who are you?".

  Try this: "You know brother there has been so much that has gone on and of course you know that I can't talk about it. Let's just leave things where they are" Keep it vague, and a little secretive. If he is an elder he know full well that if there was a"matter" that was "delicate" you could not discuss it with him. There does not have to be anything real, but the illusion that there is some mysterious what ever will set him back. Give it try. It worked for me. Try some persuasive body language. Head bowed, deep breather before speaking. That is alway a nice touch. Be safe

  for what it's worth, the following image was sent to me in an anonymous email so i can't testify to its authenticity.

  she (or he, since it wasn't signed) says he/she was one of the bethel housekeepers and spotted the name tag in a waste basket.

  at that time, the early 70's, knorr was regarded by many, including this person, (though disliked by even many bethelites) as god-like.

  finkelstein: I was baptised that year in Vancouver BC. I can not remeber he badge either . It was July the Thursday before the first Moon landing. I think it was July the 18th or 19th. Not sure. Knorr gave the sunday talk.

  The WTBS has for years looked the other way on domestic violence as it would be a black eye on their church. Domestic violence is sooooooo rampant in the church and yet it continues to be swept under the rug. As long as the church controls the situation and encourages victims to shut up it will continue to be a " dirty little secret" If you all knew how many individuals within the church are abused and subsuquently dismissed it would make you sick. I work as a volenteer in a safe house and the number of persons associated with JW as victims would blow you away. The elders are copible for such wrong doing. It will take a major legal position and I do mean major to get the word out. If anyone is interested in starting a support group..... total annoymous lets chat. Harleybear...not getting beat anymore
