It definitely is much easier to qualify to be an MS or elder. And very difficult to be removed. They are desperate for men to work for free. The majority of men still physically in don’t want to reach out as they like to call it.

Of the men who are appointed MS or elders, so many appointed men never go on ministry and most meeting are on zoom. They also keep cancelling assignments or say they need a break from any assignment. If you say you have stress or anxiety then you can come off any assignments but it’s very hard to be removed from your position.

It used to be if you found it was all a bit too much then you came off. Now you can stay on in name only.

there is a real need for speakers. So much so the CO is pressuring men to do more. Some just say no, what can the CO do? The answer is nothing.

The public talk coordinator keeps asking for brothers to give talks but the pool of speakers is getting smaller.

sometimes we have the same visiting speakers over and over again.

the congregation is starting to notice and say why don’t we get any new brothers it’s the same few we keep get visiting.

the cat is out of the bag now. There are less and less brothers.

we keep getting watchtowers and such saying the older men need to train younger men to take over. The issue is with this is that most of these older men were in this position as younger men and they never thought the system could last this long.

the current 1914 teaching means we should not need younger men to be trained up that would mean we could still have a long time left???

It’s all about milking the JWs messed up his sexuality somehow as he wasn’t allowed to view porn or dirty movies as a child. Like as if this somehow gave him an excuse to be sexting underage girls and saying “all I wanted was a snog and a cuddle”

If he is gay or another name I don’t know. But yes something is not right. He is obviously perverted and has admitted to such.

he blames his JW upbringing of course.

those letters he wrote to that underage girl while he was married showed he was messed up. He said he just wanted to cuddle and snog her. This is so sick for a middle aged man to be talking to an underage girl like that.

I wonder what would happen if an elder kept saying no to any assignment he was asked to do? Would he get taken off for not any assignments?

What would it like to see

what i would like to see and maybe will get there in about another ten years is being a jw is a rewarding thing that enriches your life.. just like other religions out there you may not know the entire truth and maybe not quite right many of the beliefs but to have to idea of a belief centres and stabilises you.. i would like jws to be able to celebrate birthdays and maybe even other holidays if they choose to and not be judged by those who choose not to.. i would like jws to be allowed to have different interpretations of scripture and everyone is happy to agree to disagree and be able to say to each other yes maybe that interpretation is nearer the truth.

we just don’t know.. i would like new members of the gb to issue an apology for previous members getting so many things wrong.. they need to come out and say they were wrong about 1914 this date has no scriptural significance and the same is true of 1919. jws were not chosen in 1919 as the one and only true religion.. we just don’t know about so many things and it takes humility to admit we were wrong.. i would like to see even more lightening up on stupid restrictions like young people being allowed to have a varied friends and activities that are not with jws only..

most JWs ignore shunning of late. They have resumed contact. Most ignore direction from the GB.

most JWs hardly do any ministry they just go for the social aspect.

most kind of celebrate birthdays but hide it. They make excuses calling it something else but still celebrating it.

most don’t believe 1914 doctrinal teachings and not 1919 one true religion was picked either.
