If you were a JW, that kind of "studying" is surely disqualified. If you call quoting the "bible scholars" from "biblestudytools" as studying the Bible, that studying of the Bible is also disqualified. Both ways of "studying" are studying other men who studied the Bible.

Both ways you have "studied" (if you have at all) has not been as a little child, but rather it has been seeking out the boastful opinions of the "wisdom of the world" and the "wise and learned" ie, WTBTS and the "biblestudytools" lot.

1 Cor 3:19-21
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God's sight. As it is written: "He catches the wise in their craftiness"; 20 and again, "The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile." 21 So then, no more boasting about men!

Regarding the "wise and learned" and Jesus and Paul's words, it is clear that all of them do NOT have what Jesus said was STRICTLY for "little children." All of them can surely be identified as the "wise and learned" and not the beat up sheep and humble "little children" that Jesus Christ was contrasting as to who would receive him.

1 Cor 1:20-22
Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

As Paul, I too have been labeled as presenting God as a weak fool...

2 Cor 11:1
I hope you will put up with a little of my foolishness; but you are already doing that.

But also as Paul, I know my God's "weaknesses" and "foolishness" are wiser than you and stronger than you.

1 Cor 1:24-25
"For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength."

Count me in as a fool for God.

1 Cor 3:18
Do not deceive yourselves. If any one of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age, he should become a "fool" so that he may become wise.

I condemn false without knowing truth.

But you did know the truth. You knew the truth that Paul wasn't 980 years old. In fact, that particular TRUTH is what most normal people would call COMMON SENSE, which is a truth in itself. Especially against the obvious.

That "truth" came first before you condemned what was false, and UTTERLY RIDICULOUS..

some have indicated that they felt stupid for ever believing in the watchtower.

That is nonsense.

In order for you to rightly claim NONSENSE, you would have to portray SENSE. Which is the problem with all you guys. You have condemned my belief WITHOUT presenting anything to counter it. Some say, like gumby, I don't know what to believe and I don't know what's true. I am a firm believer in that if you don't know what's true, you cannot recognize what's false. But that's ALL you guys do. Condemn what's false without knowing what's true.

That is dishonest.

If that is the case, then you have no foundation on which to base your condemnation.

It easy to condemn without counter point. You just flatly disagree, call my God an ass, and have nothing to put in it's place. That's all CHEAP SHOTS. So yes, God can do whatever He wants, when He wants all the while waiting till the time is PERFECT to fulfill his will and accomplish His purpose, according to HIS time schedule.

I hope we are talking about the same God here. The God that I have read about seems to enjoy BBQing people and turning them into to salt in a moments notice.

God doesn't "enjoy" punishment. Show me where he seems to enjoy it.

Here was the Law that Satan had to break and the penalty of that violation of the particular Law that would condemn him.

Why you dirty devil you! You are having more fun by getting to use your ideas on Bible interpretation. You feel you can back anything anyone has to bring against you cuz....you got an idea on the matter that will overide anyone and that makes you feel like a king eh?

First, I don't interpret the Bible, I understand the Bible. An interpretation is NEVER wrong, because interpretations come form God. Understanding also comes from God, but there is always the corrupting element trying to stick in his "understanding" too, to corrupt that which God gives. Your other half of the above seems more emotional than logical, so I don't have an answer for you.

How many people Agree with all your ideas would you say? How about all the screwed up one who are off base from you?

How many people agree with me is moot. What difference does it make? Large numbers of people agreeing with each other gives you things like the Catholic church and the JW's.

Don't ya thing if God really inspired this book...there wouldn't be so many screwed up people like us guys who can't swallow your idea's?
