I agree. So if I applied it to me, and you applied it to you, we'd have nothing to disagree about.

I have. Wanna try me?
rem,
If you were a JW, that kind of "studying" is surely disqualified. If you call quoting the "bible scholars" from "biblestudytools" as studying the Bible, that studying of the Bible is also disqualified. Both ways of "studying" are studying other men who studied the Bible.
Both ways you have "studied" (if you have at all) has not been as a little child, but rather it has been seeking out the boastful opinions of the "wisdom of the world" and the "wise and learned" ie, WTBTS and the "biblestudytools" lot.
1 Cor 3:19-21
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God's sight. As it is written: "He catches the wise in their craftiness"; 20 and again, "The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile." 21 So then, no more boasting about men!
Regarding the "wise and learned" and Jesus and Paul's words, it is clear that all of them do NOT have what Jesus said was STRICTLY for "little children." All of them can surely be identified as the "wise and learned" and not the beat up sheep and humble "little children" that Jesus Christ was contrasting as to who would receive him.1 Cor 1:20-22
Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. As Paul, I too have been labeled as presenting God as a weak fool...
2 Cor 11:1
I hope you will put up with a little of my foolishness; but you are already doing that. But also as Paul, I know my God's "weaknesses" and "foolishness" are wiser than you and stronger than you.
1 Cor 1:24-25
"For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength."Count me in as a fool for God.
1 Cor 3:18
Do not deceive yourselves. If any one of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age, he should become a "fool" so that he may become wise.Edited by - pomegranate on 3 November 2002 7:22:51

I condemn false without knowing truth.
But you did know the truth. You knew the truth that Paul wasn't 980 years old. In fact, that particular TRUTH is what most normal people would call COMMON SENSE, which is a truth in itself. Especially against the obvious.
That "truth" came first before you condemned what was false, and UTTERLY RIDICULOUS..

Are You Embarrassed To Admit You Were A Witness?
by minimus inif the subject of religion or even jehovah's witnesses ringing your doorbell has come up, do you shy away from talking about ever being a witness?
some have indicated that they felt stupid for ever believing in the watchtower.
others have said they have a responsibility to help others not get involved in this "cult".

Rom 9:20,21
But who are you, O man, to talk back to God? "Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, 'Why did you make me like this?'" 21 Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use?yep.

Luke 10:21
At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure.I always leave a thread once the personal insults begin to fly. As with evolutionists, insults are the sure sign of the losing position.
Good evening.

That is nonsense.
In order for you to rightly claim NONSENSE, you would have to portray SENSE. Which is the problem with all you guys. You have condemned my belief WITHOUT presenting anything to counter it. Some say, like gumby, I don't know what to believe and I don't know what's true. I am a firm believer in that if you don't know what's true, you cannot recognize what's false. But that's ALL you guys do. Condemn what's false without knowing what's true.
That is dishonest.
If that is the case, then you have no foundation on which to base your condemnation.
It easy to condemn without counter point. You just flatly disagree, call my God an ass, and have nothing to put in it's place. That's all CHEAP SHOTS. Well guys, I'd rather be like me with a firm set of beliefs that are quite logical and sound to me, rather than like you sitting and floundering in disbelief and skepticism condemning everyone that seems to have a belief that they can sink their teeth into. Who's the one lacking here? Surely isn't me.
You suggest that Im ignorant yet you are trying to say that God cannot kill Satan until the end of days.
Eccl 3:1-3
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,Please. God can do whatever, whenever, to whomever he pleases.
That's EXACTLY what I say. He will do it ON HIS OWN TIME SCHEDULE not according to guys like gumby's wreckless impatience. So yes, God can do whatever He wants, when He wants all the while waiting till the time is PERFECT to fulfill his will and accomplish His purpose, according to HIS time schedule.
Dont try to limit his power with your foolish theories...
I don't. You do. By the way, what's YOUR foolish theory?
And how is Satan guilty of Christ's murder???
The Jews are Satan's offspring...his kids killed Father's kid. Bad thing to do, ya know? Gets a Father, well, very upset.
Its impossible,
No it isn't. Read Jesus words before he died...
and if you want to get technical, God knew that Jesus would get killed
BOTH knew before hand. Jesus WILLINGLY went down. He knew he was the Lamb, as he went down by his own FREEDOM.
and set the whole thing up so either God is an Accomplice (since he did nothing to stop it and he could have) or its entrapment.
Or TWO working together as one. I believe I'm right.
Your arguments are Nonsense.
Please present your argument of sense rather than your smoking condemnation based on not even knowing the truth yourself.
Or, do you even have one?

I hope we are talking about the same God here. The God that I have read about seems to enjoy BBQing people and turning them into to salt in a moments notice.
God doesn't "enjoy" punishment. Show me where he seems to enjoy it.
Now granted, he chilled out when he sent Christ but the Old Testament is filled with God not being very lovey dovey!
Jesus of the New T is the
One would tend to think that he would have BBQ'd Satan years ago! How many LAWS has Satan broke??
Satan didn't break the Law til Christ was crucified.
How many commandments???
None til the death and resurrection of Christ
God could BBQ him anyday of the week!!
Actually, after the death and resurrection, he surely could. The judgment of condemnation has been made, now it's just await the execution of judgment.
So the whole LAW excuse just doesnt add up.
To someone who does not understand Law it wouldn't.
Its as if youre suggesting that Satan hasnt reached his 1,000,000 ticket yet so God hasnt punished him.
He had to be guilty of a life equal to the one HE CLAIMED he had. God.
Lets say that God had to wait until Satan broke a LAW. Fine, we get laws with Moses. Are you saying that Satan hasnt broken any laws since then???? Come on prom!
I'm not sure whether I am dealing with someone that is ignorant or stupid.
Here was the Law that Satan had to break and the penalty of that violation of the particular Law that would condemn him.
Do not murder. He did with Christ.
Life for Life. Jesus, True God When in Heaven/ Satan False God in heaven. Scale of JUSTICE is balanced.

Why you dirty devil you! You are having more fun by getting to use your ideas on Bible interpretation. You feel you can back anything anyone has to bring against you cuz....you got an idea on the matter that will overide anyone and that makes you feel like a king eh?
First, I don't interpret the Bible, I understand the Bible. An interpretation is NEVER wrong, because interpretations come form God. Understanding also comes from God, but there is always the corrupting element trying to stick in his "understanding" too, to corrupt that which God gives. Your other half of the above seems more emotional than logical, so I don't have an answer for you.
How many people Agree with all your ideas would you say? How about all the screwed up one who are off base from you?
How many people agree with me is moot. What difference does it make? Large numbers of people agreeing with each other gives you things like the Catholic church and the JW's.
Don't ya thing if God really inspired this book...there wouldn't be so many screwed up people like us guys who can't swallow your idea's?
Have you read the Bible about what's true? Not many swallow it. The real truth is bitter/sweet.
I mean....there are some here as sharp as you and they just don't see it your way. Why? Could'nt the lord have done a better job so we could all think alike.
Well...why didn't the scribes and Pharisees accept Jesus? They were "sharp" too. Teachers of the Law even...The Jews were saying the same thing...couldn't God have done a better job? I mean, this wimpy man?
Can't a book by God be as specific as the little old lady's un-inspired novel....See a problem??????????
No and No.
