Very detailed for such a short talk. Not much room for improvisation. “How to show appreciation?” How about obeying the Law of Christ and partaking???

Memorial date
by DomineIvimus-DI incan someone please help me with this, if you’ve looked into it before?.
i read somewhere that the witnesses didn’t celebrate the memorial on nisan 14 according to the jewish calendar.
i did a quick google check - seems next years memorial is on tuesday (nisan 13) rather than the wednesday, nisan 14 according to the jewish calendar.

Thanks JWFacts and TD. That’s the background I needed. Reading Jesus’ instructions and Paul’s to the Corinthians, neither make it clear to me if this has to be on a specific date. Thanks again to Bobcat for the references, it does seem to me that the early Corinthian group was celebrating this meal on a regular basis.

I would have thought that the Jews follow the same today though?

Not sure of the sources, but can anyone reconcile this discrepancy? Is there something I’m not seeing?
Thanks

I saw all the extremes - one brother who literally timed the conversations on the doors and counted nothing else, and others (as I also did) who did a local call or two, then drove out into the country to do a return visit, then back again to do a couple of calls near home in order to count all the travelling time.

Questions About the Watchtower's View on Blood Transfusions.
by Pallbearer ini admit to not being very well informed about the watchtower's view on blood transfusions.
i have a couple of questions that i hope someone here is able to answer.. i understand that the watchtower now considers it to be okay to receive blood fractions.. my first question is: are all fractions considered to be permissible?
and if not, specifically which fractions are not permissible?.

“symbolic” is the point. Since when did the symbol of life become more important than life itself? When did my wedding ring become more valuable than my marriage? As soon as you start to make rules, then circumstances change and you have to make more rules, then more ad infinitum. “My yoke is kindly and my load is light....” hmmmmm

Do you believe in a Rapture that the Churches teach instead of living on earth forever
by Alex Williams inits taken from 1 thessalonians 4:13-17. now jesus compared the end to the days of noah .
but as the days of noah were, so shall also the coming of the son of man be.
why did he compare the two and does it give us a clue to which teaching is the right one?.

Going back to your original post Alex, and the scripture in 1 Thessalonians 4, it mentions that Jesus would come down from heaven (ie no longer in heaven at the time) where every eye can see him, and that the chosen ones would be caught up to me him in the air (not in heaven).
