  "Alternative Military Service" Change???

  can anyone tell me when and where the society changed their position on "alternative military service" (i.e.

  service as an alternative to military service related to the draft)??

  was it snuck into a watchtower magazine??

  How did we EVER do it all?!??!?!

  there has been something that has been bothering the "engineer" part of me for a lonnnng while.

  we have heard it from the platform time and time again about what we should be doing as "servants of god".

  so, today i finally sat down and calculated if it is even possible to do all of the study, meetings, field service, secular work, school, etc, etc.

  today, i did a couple of things that i never would've or could've done had i remained a jw.

  first of all, i spent the first half of my day being a promotional model for snapple.

  my job: smiling, looking cute, and handing out free snapple drinks.

  if you haven't already related to us the experiences at bethel that you told to your mom-in-law, (or even if you already have told us) could you tell us about what you told her.....and...what is "g-jobbing" (sorry for my naivity) .
