Damn it! That clumsy punk attendant just spilled chunks of cracker on my brand new suit! I wonder if I can get away with punching hm in the 'nads?

so as some are probably aware the january study edition has two articles on the anointed.
one basically discouraging people from believing they are anointed and another about how ones should view partakers.
this photo is from the second article:.

the watchtower of december 2015 reports the following reaction of a family with four teenagers in the country of rwanda with the publication of the nwt, and how grateful they were for it.
the wt magazine said: .
things changed when the new world translation in their language became available.
What struck me was that they spent an hour yesterday asking the pre-planned questions, and parroting the printed answers in a "study" bragging about a Bible translation.
Here all along I thought they claimed that they actually studied the BIBLE. Not some magizine bragging about book publishing.
just curious...is anyone hearing the older/infirm ones speaking out to others on how they are being treated in the congregation?
without giving anything away, i have spoken to so many older ones (some are sickly or can't drive in the evening or can't drive at all) who can't make it to all the meetings, assemblies, etc., that are complaining on how they are being treated by the more righteous ones in the hall.
the ones i have spoken to make the comment that it seems to be the younger elders that have less empathy and concern for these ones.
Ah, @dbq407, I think that is the reason my dear parents are now being unofficially shunned.
My father commented to me at the time all the new shiny electronic gadgets were bought for their KH so the congregation could watch GBTV, all the loony videos for the CLAM etc., and then began their blatant pandering for money during every local needs that he was no longer going to contribute anything. And he quit giving money.
quickly!!.
mark sanderson at a regional assembly.. i will find him and ask him questings.. please quickly leave questions you want me to ask.. i will record and post updates!!!!.
hurry..
"Are you aware how much your failure to protect children is bringing reproach on Jehovah's name?"
This, IMO, is the best question so far. IF, and that is a very big if, he were to answer, "yes" would hang them all as accomplices. "No" would admit willful ignorance and also expose them for the uncaring, pompous as-a-wholes they are.
i have friends that pretty much need to be in a relationship.
if they aren't with somebody, they are miserable.
if they are in a relationship, they are unhappy.. do you feel that you need to be n a relationship or are you content to be single..
The only way being single (IMO) is a poor choice is in the very narrow definition of what a single person can do for recreation in the JDub religion.
If you choose to be single you automatically remove at least one half of the oh so "loving" congregation as associates. Remember, according to WT men and women cannot associate without jumping in the sack for some mattress acrobatics. Of course you will then feel like a third wheel because most everyone else is married (usually miserably). Besides who wants to hang around with squabbling people?
For me being true to myself, enjoying a wide range of people both male and female on a completely friendly level is the most important. However the greatest majority of my female associates are not JDub's for very good reason. And if one of my single woman friends happens to want some very discreet extra attention, well that is like icing on the cake.

The answer jumps out to 'a thinking person' [Watchtower terminology] that the many words are mainly for show, to give the appearance of more.
Exactly. The WT is nothing if not obsessed with appearance for the sake of appearance. Actual information is to be avoided as it may lead that same thinking person to that correct conclusion.

My very elderly frail parents live less than 500 feet(US) from their kingdumb hall. My mother cries when she speaks about the oh so "loving" brothers and sisters that just drive by going to or from the KH and cannot even be bothered to wave, let alone stop for a few minutes and visit.
My father being somewhat more stoic just simply says, "No one ever stops anymore."
As much as I can from over 1000 miles away I take care of them myself. Daily calls. A road trip every five or six weeks to personally check in on them. Using the "world" to the full to assist in any way I can until better arrangements can be made, because the JDubya's cannot care less than they do.
My multiple requests to have someone at least stop for a few minutes and let them know they are missed go ignored, even being asked myself by the eldurrs, "wouldn't it be better if they just went to sleep and passed away in their sleep?"
Damned hypocritical idiots. And yes, I see that where I am, the older ones are ignored, ridiculed, and generally treated like trash that the young healthy kool-aid drinkers wish they could have hauled away. (Rant over)
Dear brothers we are pleased to release this "new" song book with only 135 songs instead of the large number in the current song book. We feel this will make it easier to learn the new songs.
Dear brothers we are releasing "new" songs in addition to the 135 songs. We feel you will be able to memorize them all as they come out.
Dear brothers we are pleased to make these recordings of just piano music instead of orchestral arrangements as they will be easier to sing along to.
Dear brothers we are pleased to announce the "new" release of orchestral arrangements for our songs as they will be more pleasing in our w(h)or(e)ship.
Gawd, I can hardly wait to see what the next ridiculous change in direction will be to keep the sheeple too busy to think.

they must really be having issues finding brothers to slave for the org..
I know loads of JWs who were never made elders when they were reaching out, and it's because they were too outspoken and opinionated.
I know I was one of them. What really chapped their a**es was that my "opinions" were always backed with the Bible, not just the company line, and I did not hold back from speaking out about injustice, nepotism, and favoritism.
I have learned to be a little more subtle, and now use carefully crafted WT study comments if I am called on to make my point.
for the “living as christians” section of the workbook, “are you reaching out?” talk (15 min), the bethelite gave this talk at the meeting.
he totally departed from the subject matter which is the watchtower of september 15, 2014, pages 3-6. he was so far off the reservation, it wasn't funny.
here are a few highlights of what was said: 1) if any brother asked why they haven’t been appointed, and wants to know if there is a problem or condition that exists, that brother is too “presumptuous” and therefore, can’t be used.
“When I agreed to be a member of this religion, everything was different. The end of the world, the Brothers, the congregations, the doctrines. There isn't any love in the congregation anymore. Things have changed. No apologies about the changes or doctrinal reversals , but I am supposed to do what I am told and shut-up.”
It sounds like your mother has the same feelings my dear mother has. She has repeatedly said, "The religion I was baptized into no longer exists. If this religion had existed then I would never have joined."
It is sad though that she is so close to the end of her life that she doesn't dare leave now. Damned cruel JDubya's!
