I still feel shocked to the core to read such horrific stories coming from a so called loving christian religion.

A story of brotherly love.....
by Tatiana insince i've been here, from around july, 2001, i haven't really shared any personal experiences of why i left the society, except for the story about my sister who committed suicide.
this is kind of long, so i will tell it in parts.
if this is god's organization, i will gladly be a devil worshiper.. here goes....... when i was about 27 years old, (around 1984) after my divorce, i'd moved from laurens, south carolina back to andrews, sc, and rented the house beside my grandmother.

My mother passed away this morning...
by Tatiana infor any old-school ex-jws here that remember my many posts about my abusive jw mother and my sister committing suicide because of it...she passed away this morning because she began to bleed out and refused a transfusion.
she had been in the hospital for a month.
it appears she suffered a stroke and wasn't found by the brothers & sisters for three days (they missed her at the meetings).

Are You Ever Tempted To Talk To JWs When You See Them?
by minimus ineither in your neighborhood, in the ministry, on vacation?

Yes mainly to make anti cult statements that they agree with before they realise that Im actually talking about them, I love it when the laugh is on them, I always hope they go away and apply it to their own religious beliefs but I dont think they can make that connection.

Talked to an elder today
by MrFreeze ini guess the stars aligned for this one.
this morning i dropped my car off to get it fixed and the shop i always go to is a lot closer to my mom's house than mine so i asked her if i could stay at her house while it got fixed.
she was out in service doing returns at the time and offered to ride me to her house.

Well said Billy. We just had 2 elders call round on Saturday, they got to talking about the crazy mormon lady next door and how she has discussions with Jesus- (dont they just love to pick on other religions). So I said yeah people do crazy things when theyre brainwashed and in a cult.... they enthusiastically agreed as Hubby and I had a little giggle between ourselves. Its funny when you describe them to a T and they shake their heads and denounce the behaviour that they themselves are guilty of. This is always my aim with the JWs, sometimes I wonder if any of them realise that Im actually having a laugh at them.

Old time JW's did some very devout JW's refuse to eat pizza with pepperroni because they believed "blood" was in the pepperroni?
by booker-t ini have never heard this before until i read a life story of an ex-jws and how some jws in the past refused to eat pepperoni pizza because they thought blood was in pepperoni.
i do know some elderly jw sisters would complain about eating steak if it bled while cooking.
has anybody else heard of this pizza nonsense?.

In Australia in the 80's a lot of sisters stopped wearing lipstick, may have been a certain brand - (I wasnt allowed to wear lipstick anyway, only whores wore it. lol) apparently it had blood in it. What a bunch of bloody fruit loops. I cant believe that just a few yrs ago I wouldnt buy blood n bone for the garden.... so sad.

Wow I want to see Talesins fridge! Actually Id like to know what you eat do eat Talesin, you sound a bit deprived, lol. Rice, corn and potatoes are my main carbs now. You must have to be very creative with foods you can eat. Im surprised you can eat dairy, many people with gluten problems cant - I find I can eat very little so I have soy products instead.
