  Because of their stupid rules you actually go as far as you can while you have the opportunity, I probably would have waited longer to be with my BF when I was a JW but we found ourselves alone for the first time - in between chaperones and we went for it.

  Their ridiculousness can really back you into a corner.

  I feel sorry for the people that have to constantly chaperone - usually the spinsters they think have nothing better to do get asked. They feel obligated to 'do the right thing' and probably also hope to get an invite to the wedding, not much else to celebrate in that religion.

  what do you think ,the more people that e-mail derryn hinch,the more likely he will speak out on behalf of all the children including, jw`s kids.

  he has already done a lot in the past in behalf of abused children here in australia.

  the more people on board the better .please lend your support.he`s even gone to prison to protect his source of information.. smiddy.

  We all know that pedophiles threaten their victim in one way or another making them scared to come forward. How on earth is putting a poor innocent child in the same room as the dirty pedo going to help resolve the situation?.....

  Or does it actually produce a RETRACTION from the poor scared victim?

  Now doesnt that make everything so much easier for the JWs..... 'ok, so it was all just a misunderstanding'.

  dis-associated/disfellowshipped - are they the same?

  do you have to formally dis-associate to count as such?

  there seems to be a lot who are hounded to make a formal declaration to a judicial committee.. so my questions are (i would be very interested in references from the wt cdrom) - what is the official stance on those who simply stop going to meetings, do they count as disassociated by their actions?

  should they be treated the same as those who are dis-fellowshipped?

  JW Study - OUT!!

  a few months ago, i posted about a study who was getting baptised this summer at the upcoming dc.. we discussed a few things on fb.

  i showed him evidence that the watchtower does not have the truth.

  the last i heard was that he had gone to the elder's with the information i had given him.. i haven't heard from him since.. however, yesterday he contacted a jw, elder's son on fb.

  jw-media.org is strangely silent about the candace conti case.

  they haven't said anything about it as of the time of this post.. i decided to call the media department at this number (718) 560-5600. i identified myself as a researcher who also has some websites.

  i was asked for the web address of my website.

  Have faded and now crossed another JW line. What should I expect ?

  my story,which i dodn't think i ever really told on here is i faded arounf 07-09. i went from an english congregation to a spanish one.. .

  that was met by pretty strong opposition from my mother,who for a while tried to force me ( a grown man mind you ) to read the watchtower lesson with her when she would visit,the daily text over the phone when she called, or other asinine things that is expected of the rank and file.

  especially men.. the few friends who do know i have fallen away.

  Yes, I too have uber JW parents who dont like my fading but we are adults now, bad luck if they dont like our choices, it may hurt them at first but they have to live with it.

  Like Mrs Jones we dont get much affection from our parents for our 2 kids because we are 'raising them wrong'.

  We also get a bit of shunning from our JW family and none of our JW friends speak to us anymore.

  Blame it on small minded cult thinking and move on.

  Enjoy your new life- you deserve it after years of brainwashing.

  Did you send this letter to the GB wannabefree? I would. Perhaps we all should be writing similar letters, simple, to the point and bombard them.

  I have emailed Ray Hadley on the radio station 2GB (like governing body lol) hes a real dog with a bone on this type of thing, he'll tear strips off the GB if he gets a bee in his bonnet about it.

  I have also emailed the link to my local paper who are a member of a Queensland wide newspaper network and they share stories. Fingers crossed that someone in Australian media takes it and runs with it.

  I made sure to mention that this is about the Elders covering up illegal actions to protect their reputation as I have noticed many people JWs and non-JWs feel that it was a wrong decision by the judge cause the elders werent the instigators of the abuse. That is not the point here as we know, it is the big cover up that has allowed thousands of children to be put in harms way.
