i havent been "in" for ten years and i have already told severl members what i think and where they can shove it...:/) i am 27 years old, and a single mother of a wonderful 6 year old.

Thanks for sharing your story. You are so strong to turn your back on the cult and to move on from your bad childhood experiences.
I would definetely seek out another counsellor/therapist to unload that awful negativity from your past and to give you the strength to resist your parents indoctrination of your precious son.

ok so i dl'd this book.
and i immediatly began reading it.
i am about 50 pdf pages into it.
This book was a huge eye opener for me. Not quite an athiest but it certainly put the bible into perspective. Its a good laugh, a shocker and finally helps you to see that the bible is a load of crap which is another step in releasing you mentally from the cult.
today i got contacted by a reporter.
he was incredulous that a parent would contact elders and not report a child rape to the police immediately.
i tried to put on my jw hat and explain the jw mindset to him..but it was like explaining color to a blind man.

Isnt KS a Doctor? We all know the hours that Doctors keep, he probably posts between patients during the night shifts.

if the tribulations started tomorrow, and all you knew of the bible was what the jws had told you, would you suddenly think, "they said this would happen, and it is, therefore they must be right", and go running back?.
or would you think, "just because eventually biblical prophiesies came to pass that "they" had read you from the bible, doesnt mean they are the chosen religion, because they get all these other doctrines wrong", and know these doctrines well enough to be able to convince yourselves.. .
replies such as "it wont happen cause its a fairy story" wont really help..
If it were all true it would be too late to go running back at the last minute wouldnt it? You havent shown any faith in the 'true God/religion'.
But we know without doubt that even if there were a God up there that gave a toss, this would NEVER be his true religion.
So NO nothing could frighten me into going back to that cult.

do jesus words found at matthew 19:10-12 suggest that those who choose to remain single have received the gift of singleness in a mysterious way?.
Single JWs are so often desperate and lonely and putting on a brave face. So sad.
well, got this brochure inviting me to a district convention to the public talk.
oddly, the time for the public talk was nowhere on the invite, instead they had a location and the start/end times for all 3 days.
unusual.
Thanks for taking the time to let us know about your JWland adventure JWS. Personally I couldnt stomach going back to another gathering of the brainwashed, I would end up yelling something out.

I cannot even contemplate being in the KH knowing TTATT, my frustration would lead me to do something I regret.(or not regret)
