Vidiot: "I can barely imagine any scenario where it doesn’t all end in a hot mess."
They waited too long. Now they're playing catch-up; trying to look like the decent, level-headed human beings that they never were. 🙄
one theory why tony was booted out was because he was a stickler for not changing the shunning doctrine.
he actually said the words we will never ever change it.. they are slowly deleting all of tony’s videos and now losing court cases and losing government hand outs in places like norway.. it’s looking very likely they will release new light on shunning policy after losing this latest one in norway.. .
what are the odds they coincidentally get new light from jehovah and lighten up their shunning policy ?.

there's been a lot of discussion about the changes in the org.
you might think all this would shake things up, especially for the older or super dedicated jws.
but remember when gb decided all the khs and the bank accounts needed to be transferred/managed from the top?
no-zombie: "But the revision of the blood doctrine in particular, is likely to bring open discontent from the Brotherhood. Because, while few Witnesses have lost family by refusing a blood transfusion, a far greater number have had operations and personality contemplated the end of their lives, over this matter. And as a result, a lot of people could become angry after realizing that they have been misled, risking everything just over an opinion."
And they will claim that they never told anyone they needed to die for the stance on blood transfusions; that some, in their zeal, chose to run ahead of Jehovah's chariot. Tell that to the family members who saw their loved ones bullied into refusing a life saving medical procedure by the members of the HLC! Will they deny that the HLCs even existed?

jehovaxx:"Well if what Redsetter is saying has any truth to it then JWs will become a sex cult.
Red is saying they will say oral and anal sex is permitted 😭"
That's when I started thinking that he was talking through his hat; they would never say that in so many words!
His predictions make up another wishlist.
Make no mistake, the changes have been astronomical to those who are in and have been in, but from an outsider's perspective they seem small and niggardly; too little, too late. They are at least two decades too late and purely reactive; they're changing things that they can no longer get away with foisting on the faithful. They sat on their hands so long that the world's governments started noticing.
Their instinct is to only relinquish as much as they absolutely have to and no more. Red's list goes way beyond that.

ThomasMore: "I have not heard some of the wild talk Redsetter2 wrote about, but I am aware that celebrating birthdays will be acceptable by October this year. Thats about it. Some guidelines will apply."
Let me guess: the sister who leaps out of the cake will have to be appropriately dressed? 🤔

Does that mean that there is a two tier system: that disfellowshipped are treated better than disassociated? Are they likely to update the rules regarding disassociated to bring them in line with new DF rules?
a slightly tongue in cheek, but also serious roundup of jw speak and why trying to reason with them is like trying to chip through concrete with a plastic spoon.. how many can you think of??.
elder: 'yes.
i read through the material you asked me to at your judicial meeting - you're right we're both in a cult!
Ron.W., great to see Kenny as Sid Snot! 🤣👍😸
How far down that rabbit hole do you think that JWs will go, with clothing restrictions lifted?
you heard me correct, this is not a joke, and it is not april fools day!
the asl portion of the governing body updated #2 (march 2024) has been released a bit early and someone caught it.
summary: .
JW GoneBad, yet according to their bizarre rules, they kept Jehovah's organisation "clean"! You gotta wonder about the thought processes of those at the top. 🤔
from the update*: "8. when a baptised minor becomes involved in serious wrongdoing, two elders (not a committee) will meet with him along with his christian parent(s) or legal guardian(s)".. "christian" is wt code for jw, i'm guessing, and it's worded this way to sound more ambiguous for the sake of the norwegian and other governments.
so what happens to a minor who doesn't have jw parents?
a young convert (not likely in this day and age, but not impossible) or a born in who was orphaned and adopted by non-jw relatives?
Mikejw, you just gave two examples of ways it could happen. And in the case of the kid who has "spiritual guardians" , they are not his "legal guardian(s)", so that kid is on his own!
In a population of 8 million, there are likely to be a few of these rare exceptions, I'm guessing.
joey jojo: "There's no way they are opening up the commitee/ wrongdoing meetings to wordly people. Imagine that P.R. disaster."
The world would see how things really are behind the wizard's curtain! 😱
joey jojo: "I remember a few teens, back in the 80's who came into the Borg through bible studies with work colleagues, without their parents.
"They were about 15 or 16. Its not common but it's definitely happened."
It's not impossible, so there is the possibility that there will be kids hauled before the elders like they were in the old days, without adult advocacy.

The key word is "Christian". I read it to mean that only JWs can accompany the minor. In my example, the guardians are not JWs.
The wording clearly says that "Christian parent(s) or legal guardian(s)" can accompany the minor. I can't see any non-JW parent or guardian getting anywhere near that meeting.
That was only a couple of suggested scenarios. There must be more examples of JWs who are minors who don't have JW parents or guardians.

Who is supposed to have his back when he's hauled before the elders?
