He could be seriously ill, hence his absence from meeting attendance. But you'd think that there would be more information out there if it was simply a medical retirement. But then again, he was a head of a secret society which loves to keep people in the dark, so who knows?

Where is Tony?
by Athanasius inon february 22, 2023, anthony morris iii was officially removed from the governing body of jehovah's witnesses.
a few months later it was revealed that the watchtower bought him a house in lumberton, north carolina.. however, and correct me if i am wrong, since leaving the gb nobody has reported seeing tony attending jw meetings or participating in field service.
in fact nobody has reported seeing him anywhere, not even at a local liquor store.

i was called on this morning
by stan livedeath infor the first time in ages.. a very elegantly dressed senior lady and a young chap.
but--it wasnt just having a leaflet thrust at me--it was a full blown "old style" presentation.
i stopped her going to far into it--by asking if they are jws--and told them i was an apostate.

At the door I usually tell them "I am not what you would call 'an apostate'". Which is true; I've not so much as set foot inside a Kingdom Hall*, all my life. Whether they believe me or not is up in the air. I'm still probably "an opposer" to them.** And I'm obviously informed by "apostates" as to how I get my knowledge of their inner workings.
*This is true in a rhetorical sense. I once poked my head inside a Kingdom Hall after a meeting had finished, out of curiosity***. I was on my way somewhere else, interestingly after attending a child's birthday party. I've never attended an actual meeting in a Kingdom Hall.
** Is that an equally scary term, or does it make them more cranky than fearful?
*** It didn't strike me as being markedly different from the average small Pentecostal church, aesthetically speaking.

"Why use the WT terminology by calling yourself an apostate?"
It's usually the fastest way to get rid of them. Expedience over accuracy. It's the scariest word in their vocabulary. Garlic to vampires, and all that.

The August 2024 Watchtower controversy and potential further changes
by ukpimo inas an educated guess, the august 2024 watchtower may be delayed because 2 complicated subjects need to be discussed in this issue which haven't yet been approved to be included in the revised shepherding textbook.
perhaps the revised shepherding textbook must be finalised before this watchtower is released publicly.. the 2 subjects may be as follows:.
how to shepherd and appoint brothers based on the removal of the hour requirements, getting to know the brothers instead (does this mean prioritising appointing men who have auxiliary pioneered during the co visit and campaigns or men who are regular pioneers?).

"The weirdest thing is that the announcement says that Sept. and Oct. 2024 WT study could be send even if August 2024 not.....and that if by Oct. 2024 is not yet available....congs. would receive further instructions...."
That suggests "something" , not "nothing".

jehovah’s witnesses fail to get state recognition in lithuania.
news2024.06.06 13:46. lithuanian lawmakers on thursday denied state recognition to the lithuanian jehovah’s witnesses religious community.. in total, 88 mps voted against granting jehovah’s witnesses state recognition, two were in favour, and three abstained.. according to the seimas, this community does not comply with the lithuanian constitution and its requirement that religious teachings and rituals be in accordance with the law and integrity.. the resolution says that the religious teaching of jehovah’s witnesses prohibiting blood transfusions is incompatible with the constitutional right to life of a human being and the right to state-guaranteed medical aid.. it also says that the community’s teaching prohibiting participation in the defence of the state with weapons or contribution to the defence of the state by non-military means encourages non-compliance with the constitution and its requirements to defend the state against a foreign armed attack.. read more: https://www.lrt.lt/en/news-in-english/19/2290924/jehovah-s-witnesses-fail-to-get-state-recognition-in-lithuania#:~:text=lithuanian%20lawmakers%20on%20thursday%20denied,in%20favour%2c%20and%20three%20abstained.

"The resolution says that the religious teaching of Jehovah’s Witnesses prohibiting blood transfusions is incompatible with the constitutional right to life of a human being and the right to state-guaranteed medical aid."
At least they didn't fall for the lie used on Bulgaria: "There are no sanctions by us if someone decides to get a blood transfusion". The resolution outright says that that teaching, i.e. the doctrine, is wrong and incompatible with the law.
The question is, is Lithuania important enough for the WT to backpedal on blood (and military service)? On its own it might not be. But there's always the possibility of a domino effect, where other states look at this precedent.

TV Special: "Inside the brutal world of the Jehovah’s Witnesses". A well produced story too good to overlook.Inside the brutal world of the Jehovah’s Witnesses
by Balaamsass2 ininside the brutal world of the jehovah’s witnesses.
since the royal commission exposed the cruel treatment of victims of child abuse within the jehovah’s witnesses, little has changed.
but in a landmark civil case, former member amy whitby is taking on the secretive religious group in court.

This episode of Four Corners is a few years old, BTW. Do we have an update on this case?
From the article: "A US-based Governing Body of eight men sits at the pinnacle of the Jehovah’s Witnesses organisation"
In the ABC's eyes being "US-based" and "men" already makes the GB guilty as sin. 😸

blondie: "Wow, never heard this happen before; and in the age of online technology"
Columbo rests his case.
It may not mean something, but it probably doesn't mean nothing.

Has a delay ever occurred before? Columbo once said something like "I'm always interested when someone does something for the first time".
