What Happened to 2034?
by NotFormer insome years ago the wt started putting it out there that noah took 120 years to build the ark, and since the wt was the new ark, it may allow them up to 2034 (1914 + 120) before armageddon.
it could have been their new 1975 to get excited about, but i don't see any mention of it at all now.
what happened during the two decades since last i observed anything about the wt?.

Shades of Snoopy writing his book on theology. Lucy: (laughing) It'll be too dogmatic! Snoopy drops the typewriter on her.

List of main points from 2023 AGM
by ExBethelitenowPIMA in1. doctrinal changes how new light comes about.
the gb raise questions then talk about it, unless it’s unanimous they wait, then years later talk again if it’s unanimous it then gets announced as new light.. 2. the gb are imperfect and sometimes make mistakes.
they are not to apologise or even admit they were wrong.

The GB are simply evil narcissists. Any one who suggests that there is nothing special about them are just "The Enemy". And you don't apologise to "The Enemy" after you've destroyed their lives, even if your new rules change so that they were the ones who were right all along. They truly are despicable.

Pope & The Archbishop of Canterbury - Joint Announcement
by BoogerMan in"from november 1st 2023, all congregants of the faith must tick a box every month to prove they are still christians.".
can you imagine the org's reaction if this took place?
they would be ticked off!

This is a reference to the recent announcement that JWs no longer have to record their field service hours every month, just tick a box that says "Active".

Last minute repentance
by inbetween inwhile most talk about the end of reporting for publishers, i think the doctrinal change is even bigger.. repentance after start of gt still possible?
what does that mean for the judgement message, they pushed a bit lately?.
will that be really just before armageddon?

That's a good point about the "Babylon has fallen" message. They should really be ramping up that message if they believe it the precursor, the thing that lets everyone know that the JWs were right, so that they know who to go to for the last minute repentance. It's great how you've connected the dots. I wonder how many JWs will do the same, saying, "If that's the case, shouldn't we be pressing home the XYZ message?" Do you foresee any such message becoming the new focus, or has the GB simply failed to realise the implications of their own doctrinal change?
In mainstream Christianity, last minute repentance is generally referred to as a "deathbed confession". A person goes through life "sinning" and then "give their life to Christ" when they know it's all ending. The episode of Blackadder where he is the archbishop of Canterbury gives an example of how it worked in those days.

It always struck me as unfair that the 8000000 faithful JWs who survived Armageddon were rewarded by labouring for 1000 years to rebuild the ruined Earth so that it would be habitable for the 8000000000 who died. Still under the direction of the GB. All those old pictures of the Paradise Erf. Plenty of wooden houses being built, but nary a sawmill in sight.

The courts will certainly expose it all, especially if the WT collapses under the weight of the CSA payouts.

I recently had a procedure done where they asked me several times if I consented to blood if I needed it. Of course I said yes!
