i was never a jw.
i was a member of the church of christ.
i didn't jump from christian to non-believer, but rather went through a transition period, and i'd guess that all of you did the same,... changing beliefs bit by bit until you believe what you do now.. when i first realized that there were logic problems in the bible i started to find excuses for those problems.
I myself am still in the stage of defining what i believe in. Regarding the WTS, im one foot in, and one foot out.
Ive stopped believing in the WTS, and i havent prayed for about 5months now. So guess i dont believe in a god either any more..
What i believe in now? We all came from monkeys,, hell if i know what i believe in now...
so i thought ill check to see how "strong" the things are i believe in.
im still hooked to allot of the wts's teachings, and i still believe in allot of them , even thought i have enough questions of my own to start my own bible school.. so what would you ask me as a "witness" now, so i can try and defend my faith and by doing so, that i might learn something about myself, and what i believe in..
So... its been a while since i wrote on here... What has happened in the meanwhile?
-- Thinking about the WTS
-- Reading every freaking 'apostate' website and literature i could find
-- Thinking about the WTS some more
And you know what, i think im becomming an Athiest.... (now that i type this its freaking me out a bit... only thought about that before, never actualy said or typed it...)
Why am i becomming an Athiest?
Allot of the questions on here pisses me off (coz i cant answer them ;) ) and i know that there isnt an explination for them (besides to "just believe").
And the fact that i cant believe that a rich man in America fired up a religion, because God guided him , but guided him halfassed in his ways.
And for that matter, i watched one of the videos on one of the forms on here that i read, about the Religious people freaking out, calling themseleves Jesus and what not. I really just dont believe in anything anymore...
Im starting to think that when you die.. you die.. and that all these other believesystems are just man made.
so i thought ill check to see how "strong" the things are i believe in.
im still hooked to allot of the wts's teachings, and i still believe in allot of them , even thought i have enough questions of my own to start my own bible school.. so what would you ask me as a "witness" now, so i can try and defend my faith and by doing so, that i might learn something about myself, and what i believe in..
LostGeneration, the thing is, I Dont actualy.. but i dont believe in Evolution either. So i HAVE to make the religion thing work so that i have something to believe in, and not just hover around waiting to die. (yea yea so that i can have a magical fairy tale told to me that we will all live hapily ever after in the soon future) Thats what im tryyyying to make myself believe with research.. well lets say it was real - since in my head the flood really happened. didnt Noa preach to everyone, and no one listened?
And about the muslems, how do you know that God wants to destroy them?

well lolhazleft, i would defend that by saying that it protects the congregation. Why they shouldnt be talked with, well i think its obvious i dont listen to that... But doesnt the bible say you shouldnt even eat with that person anymore?

My QUESTIONS
1) Woman cant do anything, they arent allowed to give talks, pray (in the presence of a bla bla) etc, butttt, they are allowed to become part of the 144 000... isnt that going above the man a bit?
2) the WTS only was only created in the 1800 right? so what about all the people before that time? Where was God for them, making their lives better, giving them hope, letting them know that theres this small thing called the HOLY spirit that might make life much easier for you if you asked for it? So what about them? Where was God for them
3)Why should i believe in a God who today talkes to us thought the bible, and a hand full of chosen ones who we cant see, and makes errors themselves. Where in the olden days, theres was Moses, Miracles, scrolls, And fireworks to say the least. What now, why doesnt he do that any more? Its not his will any more? why ?
4) Why do you ask God to protect you, when he cant and doesnt protect you, because he only protects his "organization as a whole". Because bad things happen to all of us, so if you ask god to protect you, and you get shot, its not Gods fault, because bad things happen to everyone, but if something good happens to you, its God who blessed you? So why ask for his protection?

mmm Cantleave.. ill have to go with the classic "Well if you look at how the organization was at that time, to now, you can clearly see that they were guided by gods spirit, as they interpreted the bible in the right way and the love betwean ww brothers and sisters, and also the unity of their teachings world wide"
Damn, well with that answer of mine, i see allot of flaws..
They didnt interpret the bible in the correct way in that time... and dont even know if they do it now...
