in 2005-2009 the newspaper companies, magazines had to find more advertisers to stay afloat.

the watchtower bible and tract society pretends that the bible "really is gods inspired word" -the watchtower march 1, 2010 p. 4-7. but is it true?
if god has inspired the bible, how come the bible doesnt mention many important things?

of course its the word of god. even the books that dont mention god or jehovah but concentrate on breasts and blow jobs like song of solomon, esther and ecclesiastes are gods word. i love the book of easter or ishtar, where marduk and ishtar save the jews by themselves wothout god. like all good jewish holidays its on a full moon. its funny how all this memoriable events like the exodus, purim etc are always on the full moon. god moves in mysterious ways.

if you won and decided to take it in a lump sum, you automatically lose 40%, then there's state and federal taxes, so you'd actually get a 'meazly' $240,000,000.. what would you do if you won that kind of money?

The Great Watchtower Internet Retreat
by DT inthere has been a lot of talk about the new watchtower internet strategy.
it appears that the watchtower is trying to improve their internet presence.
this could be true, but i think there are good reasons to think that the opposite might be the case.. i suspect that this new internet announcement was primarily designed to draw attention away from the announcement that they are cutting down on the printing of the magazines again.. they are basically dropping two of their websites and redesigning a website on a url that has the lowest rating of the three.

actually god has never spoken to anyone. even the great samuel used the magic rocks - urim and thummin to make life deciding decision- 1 sam 14. we also find the apostles throwing lots to select matthais after judas left this world. makes you wonder if god ever said any actual words in the bible or simple spoke thru rocks and sticks.

Is the Watchtower shy about repeating their new "generation" teaching?
by slimboyfat inas i recall in the 1980s talks and watchtower literature, magazines and books were always talking about the "generation" teaching and how it proved armageddon was going to come any day now.. but am i correct in thinking they have only actually mentioned the new "overlapping generations" teaching once or twice in the literature?
why are they so shy about talking about their great new interpretation?
it's almost enough to make you suspect they are a embarrassed about it.. mention it once or twice, don't dwell on it, hope everyone just accepts it, and don't bring it up again.

actually referring to the persians as medes is historically inaccurate, because the medes were conquered by the persians many years before babylon was taken. persia and media never were a union, like england and scotland. to suggest otherwiset would be like saying czechoslovakia attacked the ussr during ww2, when the true power was nazi germany. daniel made a lot of mistakes in his narrative. there are many analysis about his mistakes with wiki a good place to get an overview.
the artcile for --mede-- on wiki tells how cyrus conquered media in 550.

I saw a show that had a man who lived in Mauritius or some similarly small island who created a car that ran on compressed air. I thought that was very cool, but it too has never been seen in mainstream media. It had a moderate range of enough kms, so it was practical for his needs. Turns out lots of places like Cuba also run small train engines for shunting stuff about that also run on steam. This all sounds very simple and practical but nobody remembers them. The trains are refilled in literally minutes from some boiler and then they can run again.
